As a female bondage loving glasses wearer, this is how I choose to look at it (pardon the pun).
I don’t see glasses as an ‘anti sex’ symbol but more as a layer of a person’s identity. If this layer is stripped away along with freedom of movement and will, it is an extremely powerful thing.

I figure it will be like digital cameras were – they will be sub quality and expensive for a bit until it levels out in a couple of years time…. fun though!! xHehe, well you can’t please everyone all of the time!
I know that I went through a phase of loving to tie reverse prayers for a while before I became fixated on the hammerlock… we all go through phases I think! At every shoot, I do try to do a tie that I have never done or seen before and hopefully we show enough variety to prevent our audience members getting too bored. 🙂 🙂 🙂

I did both the rigging and the shooting. As for my ‘off day’, it was the first and only time shooting in the infinity cove and thus I was exploring the space. The shots will undoubtedly look different to those by Hywel and Steve who have shot there countless times. Plus, framing is subjective – hopefully most of our members weren’t too offended… 😉
The hammerlock is a favourite of mine – and something that I try every so often as I have a distinct image in my head of how I want it to look. I haven’t got there yet, but that one with Missey was the closest so far!
To me, there is never a moment where the hammerlock and reverse prayer ties are interchangeable. They are both very different and I will continue to shoot both of them. The reverse prayer can be rigged in a really simple and elegant way that gives a totally different look and feel to the set than a hammerlock would.
As for comfort, different models are ‘designed’ in different ways. I, for example, can stay in an elbows together tie for a substantial amount of time and find reverse prayer and hammerlock tricky to stay in. Other models seem to find reverse prayer simple but don’t do elbows together. The hammerlock and reverse prayer pull on totally different areas of the back, arms and shoulders and so difficulty depends on the way that the rope is tied as well as weak spots / basic anatomy of the model.

Hehe this thread tickled me… whilst chatting in Spain, Katy Cee told us that she much prefers shooting in the cold so Norway was a dream shoot 🙂 I must admit I was quite relieved that I didn’t go on that particular trip (though both extremes of temperature have their own challenges)!
In Spain, we did let Katy cool off in the pool a number of times but the videos / stills are still pretty hot… 😉fun, fun, fun!!

Both you and the rigging in Koala Pole looked beautiful – and super comfy in a weird way??? I quite fancy being restrained like that. And then fed chocolate. 🙂 x x x

I would love to see a metal dress that is almost ‘lampshade’ shaped in the hips/ skirt area, 1950s style. With a thick band around the waist. Maybe you could put fabric over the top so that it looks like a normal dress at first glance, and then you remove the fabric to show the framework and nude model beneath.
The possibilities are endless!! Fab idea 🙂

Can’t believe everyone is settling down… I have been ‘happily unsettled’ for nearly two years now (and baby, er, TK? is now 12!! Eek!). Someone has to keep balance in the force eh?

Only just read this thread…. thanks so much for your comments! I feel really pleased that you like it. As Hywel said, we were in absolute hysterics on set. I was crying as I was laughing so much. I am sure Hywel will respond upon his return but I just have a point re: your comments about the lighting…
The hair hog tie isn’t lit as ‘glamourously’ as the majority of sets on the site but this creates a more natural, intimate feel (and may even have been specified by the requester?), The colours in the room also give a more ‘muted’ feel than normal and this is obviously not going to be to everyone’s taste.
I would strongly disagree with your generalisation though… Now obviously, not everyone likes the same style of lighting and not everyone’s monitors display identically. The set you mentioned is the exception rather than the rule (just a quick scroll down the updates page shows this). The classic ‘RE style’ that Hywel has spent years perfecting and exploring relies on well lit, punchy and dynamic images and I don’t think anyone could deny that the lighting is something that he does consistently well. This style has been developed to specifically bring out the beauty of the model and the beauty of the restrained situation…
Its always interesting to read people’s opinions though (even if I don’t agree :P) so thanks for sharing!

Establishing shots of a full moon, the whisper of ill intent amongst the grasses, a parade of chained-together, naked girls walking barefoot through the fields under a starry sky with their new master leading the way. (“Arabian niiiiiights…” Just kidding. ;)) And since this is RE, they’re giggling and talking amongst themselves even as the master tells them to shut it.
Love the imagery here! Can we include this shot please Hywel??? 🙂

I am so proud to still be a part of RE after ten fabulous years. And it is so good to see Hywel pushing the envelope and striving for better in terms of quality of content even after all this time. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for the next ten years!!

I found certain elements of The Secretary hot, but mainly in the concept rather than in the execution. I didn’t like Spader’s character at all but thought Gillenhaal was really well cast.
It is memorable for me in that it introduced me to more psychological stuff and surprised me with how I felt about it. Particularly where he is telling her exactly how many peas she can have! Before then, I had been quite naive about BDSM relationships in general really but it made me see the idea of ‘ownership’ in a totally different light.

I like rope best too, Ariel!! 🙂 metal just seems to be a bit too quick and easy when you compare it to the artistry of rope bondage – when done well anyway. I would rather work with rope whether being restrained by it, restraining others with it or shooting a model rigged by someone else. I get more inspired by ropework on the web than any metal scenes too and love how it is flexible but controlling at the same time…

It was great to see this set as it brought such memories back of shooting into the night with our smoke bombs! The use of light really made the atmosphere of the set and I really like the moody but tender tone…
It makes me want to get in front of the camera more too..!

I think it was in anticipation of what was to come – it did make me smile!! Hywel was awesome in his use of ‘on the spot’ time penalties and lane violation punishments! I really hope the members like it too!!!
