Tortured In The Dark

We’re very excited!

We’ve been planning another EleganceStudios.com for a while, and we’re just gearing up for production, shooting in a few weeks. I’m converting the outline to a shooting script today.

The film has an emotional, real-world-grounded storyline about a bondage couple are trying to find ways to rekindle the excitement of their first BDSM experience.

The “fun and games” section of the film is going to be an extended BDSM session in complete darkness. I have infrared spotlights and infrared cameras, and IR goggles for me to wear. Think of the “in the dark” section of Silence of the Lambs. Ariel is going to be totally in the dark- she will not be able to see me, or anything else! It’d going to be hot and intense, more even than a blindfold or blackout contact lens scene. We want MAXIMUM impact!

What would you like to see done to her in her Tortures in the Dark? I’ve got ideas but I’d love to have your suggestions! Post a comment and let us know!

About Hywel

Particle physicist turned fetish photographer, producer and director. I run http://www.restrainedelegance.com and http://www.elegancestudios.com together with my wife, who is variously known as Ariel Anderssen or Amelia Jane Rutherford, depending on whether she's getting tied up or spanked at the time.

  1. I came across a couple photos where a standing model had metal objects secured to her heels so she was forced to be on tip toes

  2. This concept fascinates me – largely because I am myself visually impaired. In my case, this includes sensitivity to light so I am usually happiest in dim light and working in bright sunlight is more difficult than doing so in total darkness but it will be interesting to see how it affects Ariel.

    I don’t know whether you intend Ariel to be immobilised in bondage throughout the dark session. I think it wold be interesting to see her move about for part of the video although I imagine there are health and safety considerations. Perhaps she could be on a short chain in a large room so she could not bump into anything unexpected.

    I would like to see the video explore the general idea that other senses may be heightened so it will be fun to see the reaction to different touch stimuli of varied nature and intensity, eg. a flower, a feather, the tip of a riding crop, an ice cube, a pile of cold steel chain, a pinwheel and so on. In tweets on this, Hywel has made the point that Ariel must be fully informed what will happen for health and safety reasons. But I wonder if it is possible to arrange things so she has full knowledge of the things that may happen but not necessarily what order they will be – or if something may not happen at all.

    Would it also be possible to set Ariel challenges of tasks to perform while in the dark? There would doubtless be prescribed punishments if she failed but I would like to see her trying, and sometimes succeeding. These are just random ideas –
    Sweeping the floor – if she misses something she can be told not seeing things is no excuse, she should be more systematic in covering the entire floor;
    Replacing the battery in a torch or electrical equipment. She should be able to tell which way round the battery is by touch;
    Typing – she may be a good touch typist but she can be condemned to punishment at the end because she hadn’t noticed auto-correct had done something she didn’t want (we disabled people soon learn life isn’t fair);
    Sorting cutlery or similar, including having to distinguish large from small knives and forks or soup spoons from desert spoons;
    Self-bondage – eg fastening herself into leather cuffs or putting on some piece of metal bondage equipment whose elements have to be closed in a specific order. She has to identify which bit is which by touch;
    Making a bed.
    Move about a room responding only to verbal commands such as “Walk two yards forward”; or “Turn 60 degrees left”. She could be ordered to follow a route and her punishment following this one could depend how far from the target she ended up.

    Can I add one comment not about content? I accept what you say about this experience being more intense than using a blindfold or blackout contact lenses. But that is for the participants. I am not familiar with “Silence of the Lambs” so I wonder how the experience will be special for the viewer. It also occurs to me that anything done in Hollywood is probably faked anyway and potential purchasers who are not familiar with your work may assume that’s so of your video too. Please don’t take this as a criticism, just some advance thoughts on what marketing for the finished piece may need to address.

    Good luck with it.
