Hi All,

Wow, what a weekend! Ariel, Kate, Steve and I spent three days shooting our latest Elegance Studios movie (and our first with our new digital cine camera). Working title is Bastinado, a torrid tale of a high fashion shoe designer, a wicked and sexually depraved boss, and a professional disciplinarian…

Had a great time, very long days but a huge amount of fun thanks to the constant enthusiasm, professionalism and good cheer of Ariel, Kate and Steve!

Here are a few raw frame grabs hot off the camera. Remember these are not still photos- they are frame grabs from the moving picture 25 frames-per-second image stream!

We’ve still got a few things to pick up- primarily exterior coming-and-going shots which the British weather absolutely prevented us from getting today. We’ve also got to start post production, the first part of which is grading and making proxies from the footage so it is possible for Ariel to start editing it on the RE MacBookPro! With 502 GB of footage captured it’ll take a while even to watch it all 🙂
