Hi All,
Can you believe it is nearly April again? Only a week until the eighth birthday of Restrained Elegance!
We want to hear your requests and suggestions for things you’d like to see us shoot. Many thanks to those who have been posting their ideas recently, I’m printing them all out and putting them into a big file of requests for this year’s shooting.
We’re going back to more detailed planning for each shoot, the way we used before we had the studio, as we’re going to need more lead time to organise overselves for the shoots (we need buy all the right clothes and props and so on for each storyline or idea, script them, plan where and when and who will will shoot them with etc.)
So we’d really like to get the requests and suggestions coming in, so we can start our shoot planning well in advance this year.

I would like to see an elegant bondage party. All the men are talking and eating…etc…while all the ladies are bound and gagged in fine dresses. They would be all gussied up, make up, high heels, jewlrey, etc…they would be walking around while bound enjoying the party. Maybe have a few of the ladies responsible for the food and drinks, one is chained up in the kitchen preparing food and drinks, while another is acting as a waitress with the serving trey attached serving the men at the part…the girls of course are bound and gagged, so they would be on a diet 😉 I know it would be kind of hard to shoot for orginizational purposes, but I think it would be sexy!
I love these calls for suggestions. I request a prison break – that gets foiled of course.
Part 1 – beautiful prisoner, cuffed in front, is put in her cell. If your new place has a prison cell, otherwise just a room I suppose.
Part 2- the escape. Ideally that would mean overpowering a beautiful policewoman and leaving her bound and gagged. If this is a one model shoot, then maybe unlock the cuff on one hand and simulate the escape. Perhaps that merges with Part 1.
Part 3 – maximum security. Rigid cuffs, shackles and a chain to a chair/bars of the cage for our troublemaker.
Like PJM1986 I like the idea of an elegant dinner party. But I realise that RE is unlikely to do a shoot with lots of male and female models.
My idea is to have a table prepared for an elegant dinner party.
On the center of the table is a pair of nude women. Bound back to back or intertwined face to face they look like they have been posed like a beautiful ice sculpture.
It is quite difficult for me to make a suggestion. Two reasons:
(1) your existing plans, and your resident slavegirl, already are so good; and
(2) my old ideas tend more to a mild video than to a photo shoot.
But, my Linux system being down, here is what I remember of what I once wrote.
The model explains verbally that she is directing the video, but will need help. She begins by undressing, at
least down to underwear. She binds herself, leg-irons and handcuffs, behind her back. She says, “You see that I will ned help to change the scene.” The camera watches her, as she moves against her restraints.She says, “Of course, I really should be naked; if only someone would arrange that.”
Then, naked, the model is shown in a variety of bound positions. And they really don’t matter, only the model’s narrative as she describes them, and her reaction to them, matters.
And, obviously, since this is a free suggestion, it is worth what you paid for it.
A one-word suggestion: Glasses.
To elaborate, glasses where the model is otherwise scantily clad, or even nude, rather than wearing the business/secretary outfit and heels & hose usually associated with glasses. At most one or two photos of the model dressed so before she’s stripped & bound.
Maybe a glasses-wearing lady abducted for a harem, shown bound in a skimpy harem outfit but still wearing her glasses.
Maybe a librarian or schoolmarm in an old-fashioned skirt or dress, taken captive.
Maybe a female archeologist, historian, etc. who is stripped, bound, & forced to translate old inscriptions & papers.
Or maybe just a model who is nude except for her bonds & her glasses, with a story-patter to be worked out later.
I have to agree with lurker – a prison breakout video (or series of videos) would be spectacular. My favorite story lines are always about institutional bondage (prison etc.) so it would be really neat to see that played out. Just my .02 (is that said in the UK – but instead of my two cents you say pence? – just randomly curious).

Er, you meant lockjaw, right? I’m the one who suggested glasses. Lockjaw’s the one who suggested a prison-breakout scenario (which is something I feel so-so about).

I think the metal bondage sets could be even better if there is a woman in the pictures putting the restraints on the models.
Maybe its only me but, I hate the dark pictures, I only keep the well lit ones.

This call for ideas has been troubling me – I keep wandering past my computer and feeling guilty for not having offered up my suggestions, I better put that right then…
1; I have had an idea in my mind for a while and am sure that it is not original but can’t for the life of me think where I have seen it before (I am not convinced it has not featured on RE in the past). The idea hinges around locking the model in a cage or in cuffs and leaving her with the key to unlock herself and escape? The twist? trap the key in a block of ice, such that she will have to either wait for the ice to melt or try to melt it herself using her own body heat. You could imagine a burglar scene, he just wants the telly and is not all that interested in holding the lone, female, occupant of the house hostage – he just needs her to stay put for long enough for him to make good his escape. Maybe the story needs some work but perhaps give the idea a try.
2; An idea that came to me at a party the other day – not entirely sure how this is going to work but am sure there is a shoot here somewhere – how about combining bondage and twister (the game). Perhaps a drunken party scene, late at night – lets play Twister? I am not sure whether players should start in bondage or whether it should be a forfeit for rubbish play (perhaps CD has finally found a good application for those long-chained metal ankle cuff things)
3; Ages (years ago) back a ballerina scene was suggested, I seem to remember Ariel being terribly excited by it but I don’t recall it ever happening.
4; Slave on a pirate ship. Scene 1, wealthy heiress kidnapped from a fancy boat on the high seas. Scene 2, cut to some months later when the clothes she was captured in look a little bedraggled torn and dirty as the crew have her cleaning the deck with her bucket and brush (cinderella style), Scene 3, perhaps after some escape attempt or after resisting the advances of one of the pirates she is forced to walk the plank (arms bound, barefoot…)
5; Equestrian. Don’t know why but jodhpurs and those big old riding boots (me, boots? it’s a turn up for the books I grant you) and the other trapings of those girls I used to know who spent all their free time down at the stables are really quite sexy (if you catch them before they’ve been near a horse there is always the feint smell of leather about them as well, afterwards they just smel of swetty horse and manure). Clearly something can be done with this scene.
6; Back to basics. We often talk about where in our childhoods all this bondage business started and more often than not the cords of dressing gowns (robes) feature as early bondage material. How about a set where some of that innocence is recaptured? I am seeing pyjamas, barefeet, a bed and a model recreating her early experiences of bondage on her own in her room (alternatively a two model sleep-over set would be cool as well)
There you go, that’s a start. I am sure I have a few more and will add them as they come to me.

And we see far to few pics where the girl is put into the metal bondage -by a woman or even hywell – or by herself.
Goes for the gags as well.
And some after shoots – see her be allowed to remove her gag – her relief – the gagmarks.
My litlle speciality i find cute – gag arond the neck – either as an invitation of things to come or after the action – of cause not as stand alone sets.

Also, I like to see variety in the bondage devices & materials used: A mix of sets with rope, metal, leather cuffs, leather straps, wooden stocks, and other things.
As I’ve mentioned in the past, I’m, not a fan of “hot girl-girl action!” so if there’s on-screen binding, I’d actually rather see Hywel applying the chains (or whatever). (Although a set with an off-screen master commanding “shackle yourself!” & the model complying can be good.)

Would you consider using a model as a naked centre piece on a table set for a meal?Hogtied either on her front or lying face up She could be conventionally ball-gagged or stuffed with an apple say to keep with the food theme.She could also serve as a candelabra holding the candles in her hands and mouth and maybe others on her body held in place with melted wax.
Another girl perhaps in the same scene could be filmed as a serving maid . I have seen somewhere a slave tray which is strapped around the waist and has two chains which clip onto the far edge of the tray.The other ends have nipple clamps for securing to the model.I think in reality it would be impossible to move without spilling the drinks but I think the look would be tremendous!

I’m definitely planning something on the “elegant party” theme, especially as we now have four sets of SM factory cuffs and collars to play with (three identical sets and one that is slightly different).

P.S. can you give me an example of some “too dark” artistic photosets, please? I think I know what you mean, but I want to make sure I understand which ones you’re not so keen on. I particularly want to make sure that it isn’t an issue of how sets look different on my monitor and too dark on all of yours!

Heres an idea based on an internet story I found.
A woman is lured by her boyfriend to the remote village he grew up in. (think wicker man without the fire.)
She is persuaded to dress up and participate in the spring fertility ritual.
She winds up naked, outdoors, tied to an x frame. she can be wearing a loincloth if you want to reduce exposure.
she is decorated with garlands of flowers and these also cover the ropes that bind her.
Here is another request of a women in prison type video idea.
A young woman is convicted of some crime in a far eastern country.
She is sentenced to a public whipping or caning.
She is led into the public square. Her emotions should be bordering between sheer panic and her need to maintain a stiff upper lip.
She is forced to remove her clothes in front of the crowd.
She then has to lie on her back on the whipping block.
strings tied around her big toes pull her legs straight up exposing her to the whip from her butt to the soles of her feet
Two suggestions,
Firstly, and would probably work best as a video, one model is a tax inspector or auditor, going through the files of a company, (as mentioned before, glasses are good) when she comes across a strange lodgement, which she then queries with the company’s female accountant. The accountant tells her that she does not know what it is for but she will ask the MD. Turns out the company is a front for a white slavery ring, and the MD and the accountant decide to get rid of their problem by making the inspector their new product.
It then turns out that the lodgment should not have gone to that account at all, and this was the accountant’s fault, and as this business does not tolerate errors, the MD decides to make the accountant responsible by getting rid of her in the same way as the pesky inspector.
Secondly, something similar to what I have seen before on the site, an archeologist opens a tomb but the spirits in there take control of herand she finds herself naked and restrained on an alter. Then the mummification starts. Similar to a set with Charli from a long time ago, or as an alternative to the mummification, a set similar to that with Naomi K, again from some time ago.
Yes a mummification set would be great. Maybe do it the opposite way though. Instead of wrapping the model unwrap her.
Start the set with the model fully wrapped on the altar, then remove the bandages slowly showing more skin as you go.The story could be an archeologist opens a tomb and finds a mummified figure. Maybe its an ancient princess, or maybe its a grad student that dissapeared from the dig site a week ago. Either way the archeologist unwraps the figure not knowing that the woman has been put into sleep like state by a magic spell. Once her eyes are unwraped she will become the slave of the first man she sees.

Thanks for getting back to me with clarification of the “too dark” sets.
Technically, we’d call these sets “low-key”: http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/low-key
I guess it is personal taste- I find the occasional low-key set quite atmospheric and stylish, I quite like not being able to see everything and have some elements emphasised and others hidden. The main element of low key lighting is a high ratio between the light coming from the main or key light and the light from the rest of the scene.
It is of course completely valid to say they are just too dark. The thing which produces that effect is the low-key lighting, with one very strong light source and not much else. The converse is high key lighting, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_key
which we certainly do as well. (We shoot everything in between, too…)It probably also depends a bit on your monitor and your monitor settings- on my monitor which I have colour calibrated I have no trouble making out the detail in the shadows of Amy Allen’s skin in the Display Case set, but the black background is completely black, with no detail there at all (by design). If your monitor isn’t showing you any detail on Amy’ skin in those shadows, the sets are going to look *extremely* dark to you whereas they look dark and moody- but acceptable- to me. Tricky.
We aren’t going to stop shooting in this style completely, but we can certainly shoot a more sets with the high key lighting style than with the low key. That’s probably especially helpful for the sets on dark backgrounds where I do see that having half the model disappear into shadow might not be a look people like.

The ballerina idea is great – although only if the costume is ‘right’, proper pointe shoes, white tights, tutu etc.
Ariel as a bound ‘Prima Ballerina’ – a dream set. Although a simple wrist and ankle rope bound Damsel in Distress would be my personal preference – nothing too ‘heavy’.
What’s your opinion Ariel?

Wrote this litlle story – should contain some interesing pics in my eyes:
It all happened very quickly. Well – she was speeding a little. And she wasn’t that polite to the police officer. But the spitting – she barely hit him.
But the judge – she had another way to look at it – offending a policeman and being violent as well – before she knew what happened she got a sentence of 3 month jail – starting right now!
She didn’t believe this happened to her. But before she was taken to jail a woman asked her to consider an alternative to prison. The woman had watched her short trial and Sarah was relieved to learn there was an alternative. She has read about electronic devices that made sure you was at home when you was supposed to – she was sure she could make her life work that way for a periode.
That was not the case! Miss Petersen told her new research has shown that younger woman often would respond very well to a combination of embarrassment and slight humiliation combined with corporal punishment. She didn’t believe her ears when she was offered to exchange the prison sentence with 10 weeks wearing state issued shackles on wrist and ankles – and a matching collar.
On top of that she would report to the local prison every Friday afternoon to receive 10 strokes with a cane to her bottom – and 10 strokes with a flogger to her breasts. The punishment was guarantied to be harmless in way of permanent damage but also to be quite painfull.
The punishment would be witnessed by officials and up to 50 spectators and as she was one of the first to join the program probably on television as well.
The first week in the shackles was worse than she thought – she was completely unrestrained but the steel must be worn in plain sight at all times – her hair had to be up and not clothing was allowed to cover any of the items . If she did everybody could report her and the week would be taken from her sentence – and in top of that she would have extra corporal punishment. It was not easy to be a business woman when everybody stared at her heavy collar and the steel on her arms and legs everybody knew would restrain her Friday for the whip to kiss her naked body.
She didn’t know what to expect Friday – she drove up to the local prison to be taken by surprise by photographers and tv crews. Well, at least they wasn’t allowed in at the punishment. She thought. It was where the humiliation part came in.
She was received very correctly by Miss Petersen who wanted to hear how she experienced the week so far. Then she was instructed in the procedure. She was to enter the punishment room. There she would take all clothing off in front of the witnesses and any camera crew that might be there. She would then gag herself tightly with a red ball on a strap. This was both thought as a humiliation intensifier but also as a help not to offend the staff that did the actual punishment. She would then present herself on a little stage in the center of the room where she would be restrained with her hands above her head and legs slightly apart. This should be done 10 minutes before her scheduled punishment slot – she would then wait for her punishment for 10 minutes. When it was time she would be given one stroke every minute, first 10 from the cane to her ass and thighs and then 10 with the flogger to her breasts. After that she would have to stay restrained and gagged for another 10 minutes to let the impressions sink in – and let her concentrate on being polite to the crew when she was released. A nurse would check that no damage was done and treat her skin if needed. i would realy like a video whith an expirienced bondage playing girl (wearing her lovers locked collar) introduced the novice – but very interested – friend to the collection of toys.
Or a set whith one or 2 girls in a fun an relaxed way tries on collars, gags, clamps and so on. Commenting on how they feel on and how they look on. A nice way to show us our collection.

One more idea: Slave bells.
Have a model wearing jingling bells that are locked on, maybe attached to a collar, or to wrist or ankle cuffs.
A possible storyline can be one in which the slavegirl tries to do something sneaky (steal cake?), gets caught due to the jingling of her slave bells, and gets hogtied or otherwise tightly restrained.
Today’s feature (April 16, 2009) with Samantha is an example of photos which are too dark. Of course, when displayed full screen, one can see [most of] the model. We all recognize the need for artistic lighting, but in this case, nothing is really gained
Greetings from New Jersey Everyone,
Sorry to have been a bit silent on the forum for the past couple of weeks but my system took a major disk crash on the boot disk and it took longer than expected to get things back up. Still trying to get at some critical files (email address book, favorite websites, etc. but at least all the RE files are on the external drive). Anyway, better late than never I wanted to throw in a few of my thoughts about some of the suggestions raised already on this thread as well as add a couple of my own.
Before getting into that I wanted to comment on some of the sets that I had missed while rebuilding my PC. Like almost all of them (so what else is new?) but I particularly liked the photo set with Temptress Kate and Pling in their medieval gowns up on a platofrm up a tree. Really enjoyed the set and setting as the medieval gowns are a personal favorite. Wish we could have seen a few more close up photos but understand that would have been tough from a logistics point of view. Having a third person on the platform with a camera probably would not have worked too well. I also really liked two of the recent videos – Sophia’s Day Off and the second part of Swords and Sandals.
I’ll really be looking forward to the next part of Swords and Sandals (loved the playfullness and interaction of the ladies in the second half of the video). I also hope that there will be a second part to Sophia’s Day off. This kind of ties in with Hassler’s two posts from April 10th and I think would work well. I also hope we will see another part of the Slave Kennel video in the not too distant future.
As far as some of the previous posts on this thread I think that Lockjaw’s idea of March 24th for the prison break could be very good given the RE touch. I also very much agree with PJM1986’s suggestion also from March 24th of an RE dinner party. I could see this as either a photo set or as a video. If it were a photo set then I would agree with the idea of having the ladies gagged and either wlaking around of tied in their dinner chairs. If it were a video (hopefully) then perhaps start the ladies out walking about and greeting each other (simple gags so that you can hear and understand their “gag talk” as they greet each other) and then maybe remove their gags as they are seated and bound in their chairs for the dinner. It could kind of be a second side to the “Ladies Who Lunch” video series.
I happened to see something from one of the “stores” on the “Clips4Sale.com” site yesterday that would make a great RE video but might be a bit difficult to pull off. I had done a search for something and this “store” popped up as meeting the keyword search. It was a Chinese “store” that had nothing to do with what I had searched on but I took a quick scroll down their available videos for downloading and at the bottom of the page was a video about a models and members “meet and greet” It was outdoors and they had about six to eight models. From the decription it seems that each lady was put into bondage and then they were linked together for a short walk. During all of this it looked like several people were hanging around taking pictures (I’m assuming the members). There were two different videos of this available. I didn’t see any reference to a website outside of the “Clips4Sale” site so I’m not sure what they men were “members” of but I was very intrigued by the idea of a half dozen lovely ladies in both eastern and western dress, standing around talking, while they each tied up and then walking together. Hywel I would love to see a similar video that you and the rest of the RE photo team as well as the lovely ladies could come up with on this idea.
My final suggestion is a return to one that has been voiced before on the chats and that is the idea of a “Bondage Olympics” or “World Bondage Games” with several of the ladies competing while in bondage in both traditional “Olympic” style events as well as bondage specific events.
It will be interesting to see what you and the team come up with Hywel for the rest of 2009. As always my continued thanks to you and everyone else for a great site and the nice little community it has generated. All the best.Cheers,
