Hi Hywel, hi everybody,
I’ve been monitoring for years what is available on the market at at an acceptable price, if one wishes to buy heavy manacles, SM-Factory-style.
Please have a look at this site:Heavy and elegant manacle, produced in China. They seem strong enough and impossible to open without the key, and I think more secure than the SM-Factory ones, which are closed by a simple cut&reused padlock. I owned a suite wrists/ankles manacles made by SM-Factory and I soon discovered that two of the locks could just open with a shake.
This China stuff seem interesting, especially from the point of view of the price.
Hywel, what do you think of them? aren’t they useful for some slave market photo set? It’s a pity that similar leg manacles are not available.

May 10, 2012 at 10:27 #16569Interesting site, thanks. It is always good to look around.
The link (at least when I followed it) actually features linked shackles which I guess are more comparable to handcuffs like the Clejusos than the SM Factory irons but there are further links on the page to other interesting products.
I have never seen SM Factory products “in the flesh” so can only say they look stunning on RE’s girls. I really like videos, like “Sabrina Shackled and Sold”, where we see them fitted. I also recall my wife’s comment on “Slave Training” that most people would think Ariel’s collar was just a rather elaborate piece of jewellery. 🙂
I was interested that, looking round the site in the link, I soon came across a collar looking remarkably like Ariel’s SM Factory “neck corset” selling for under $60. There was even a photograph stunningly similar to the one on SM Factory’s home page. Yes, it even had only 5 wires on the collar against the 6 on all the other pictures (and, of course, Ariel’s). The only differences I could see were the differennt supplier’s name added and the absence of any acknowledgement to the photographer, Chris Emke.
I don’t suggest anything wrong – but I find that sort of thing a disincentive rather than an encouragement.
I have recently bought our first steel collar intended for (relatively) extended wear. It was an experiment so price was important. I am happy with the one I paid £20 for to a UK supplier who dispatched the same day. That was just a matter of a quick search on Ebay. The supplier also had good positive feedback: 97% positive is our minimum.
Still, thanks for telling us about this site. We all have different wants and needs and it does pay to shop around.
