I think its about time we saw a really ott :stiffdrink old fashioned damsel set with dramatic gestures and expressions – maybe even sepia toned for an authentic feel and with silent movie captions intermingled with the pics to tell a story?
(Hywel’s note- anyone in the South of England know of disused railway tracks near them? Gotta be done with the damsel tied to the tracks by a mustachio-twirling villain I reckon!)

All of the tracks in the South East are disused! I don’t think they’re supposed to be though! Bloody Railtrack!
In my Mum’s hometown Blaenavon, Gwent, I remember as a child, playing on a disused railway line at the bottom of the valley. I don’t know what’s there now. It’s more your neck of the woods than mine, Hywel

There may be a few in Cornwall, the Bodmin & Wenford railway has a section which is disused, and then again I don’t think it operates all year round, (I’d check first). Another Idea is to check the railway conservationists ( or societies), They might have a list of disused railway tracks. ( So far all I’ve found is narrow gauge)
Have you tried looking for old railway sidings ?
Or Local Model railway Exhibitions – some exhibiters know where you can find these tracks- (for realistic models, etc..)There is a steam railway in the south you could try at

I DO love the idea! Particularly with the concept of dramatic expressions and the costuming of course. I would like to put my vote in for no captions. I just like the pictures pure. Not word balloons of them please. I certainly do hope you find railroad tracks! Of course if you mean separate captions like the old silent films that is a cool idea and nice touch!
