Hi All,
We’re coming up of another great fun year of Restrained Elegance. Hard to believe it is a decade ago I shot my first sets for the site! As always, we go into hibernation a bit over the winter (models don’t like shooting in the cold!) and catch up on processing the images, editing the videos, take a step back and look at where we are and what we’d like to concentrate on improving for next year.
We’d really like your help and you ideas and input. I’m going to post three more threads for detailed discussions about photoset styles, video styles and bondage styles… this thread is for general stuff about the site, facilities you’d like to see in terms of navigating the site, that sort of thing. Let us know if you have any suggestions!
We’d also really like to hear set ideas and suggestions for what we should shoot next year. We’ll be having our annual informal planning meeting at the start of January and it would be really cool to have a snowstorm of pieces of paper with everyone’s requests on that we can shuffle around and help us plan who, what, where, when and how to do our shoots for 2011.

On a slight tangent, I’d suggest putting up a new set of polls in the forum’s polls section (and maybe archiving the old ones).
Some other ideas (including repeats of things I suggested previously):
o A tickling set (or maybe a video – I’m not a video fan, but I’d make an exception for a RE tickling video)
o A set where the model’s clothing is torn or cut away. You did something like this once or twice, years ago, and I’d like to see it done again.
o Slave display/sale platform. Or two or three. Either with two or three models in a set, or one model and one or two “empty” platforms along with the one the model is using.
o St Andrews cross, with the model topless but wearing a skirt. Maybe as a mad-scientist lab set, or maybe a sacrifice-to-the-monster set.
o “Intellectual slavegirl” – Model wearing glasses, but otherwise completely nude. (Except for her bonds, of course.) (Maybe a “slavegirl librarian” – glasses, arms in a “waitress” tie, ankles hobbled, carrying books to a table, one at a time.)
o An on-the-bed hogtie, but with the model secured with leather straps/belts, rather than the more common rope or metal restraints.
o A barefoot wench, in metal restraints, having to polish a bunch of (obviously masculine) shoes & boots
o A shoot giving two sets: Same model, same tie, two different emotional reactions. E.g. set one, “I’ll get you for this, Agent P! Grrr!” and set two, “The sultan chose me tonight! He chose me! He chose me! he chose me!” (happy!)
o A transformation scene, where the model goes from well-dressed lady lawyer or executive secretary to bound & scantily clad (lingerie or skimpy harem dress). In a photoset, spread the transformation out over 10-20 photos. In a video, use simple f/x to have the transformation take place over 10 seconds or so (and maybe have several such transformations in a single video).
And on another tangent, while all the RE models are “easy on the eyes” 😉 I have a weakness for “cute beautiful” models like Amy Allen, Natasha, or Delta. So I’d like to request more shoots with them.
Also, I know I’ve said this before, and that it mostly isn’t under your control, but I’d like to see more ethnic models on RE – Black, and Asian in both the UK (Indian Subcontinent) and US (Far East) senses.

I would like to see the two which I have purposed.
1: the wedding bondage with reception after, will prob. need to be 2 sets.
2: a bondage dinner party with a model tied serving drinks etc… and all the models being bondage arm candy bound and un-gagged…though maybe one of them gets a lip and her master gags her as punishment…

I would like to see another egyptian themed mummy scene.
A nosy explorer is investigating a secret chamber and is hit with a poisoned dart.
She gets woozy and slumps to the floor.
The gloating villian approaches and places her on an altar.
She is paralysed by the ancient venom but is awake as she is undressed, rubbed down with sacred oils, and slowly wrapped with linen.
Since the model is not supposed to move I would like to see her emoting with her eyes.
Hello Hywel, I have been buying the old RE sets before finally getting a subscription. For suggestions, I say bring back chinese dresses! The shorter, the better :p

I’ll second bringing back the chinese dresses.
I also want to toss in a suggestion for a “chinese rainbow” set of sets, with each set featuring one dress (or color of dress) worn by four or five different models.
Thus you’d have Model A wearing five or six different chinese dresses in one shoot, Model B wearing those five or six different dresses in a second shoot, and so on. But, when it comes time to putting up sets, you don’t put up each shoot/model as a different set, but instead organize the sets by dress-color – Set I being the red-dress photos from shoots A through E, Set II being the yellow-dresss photos from shoots A through E, Set III being the green-dress photos from shoots A through E, and so on.
How practical this will be will depend on how easy it is to change chinese dresses in the middle of a shoot. But I wanted to throw out the idea.
Remember the Jane Fonda movie Barbarella.
If you did another video/photoshoot with a vibrator I would love to see a remake of the infernal machine scene.
How about using Zentai suits on the site.
A model in a silver zentai suit could be a good alien in a sci-fi themed shoot.
A model in a sheer mummy suit could pretend she was trapped inside.
Some suggestions for settings and storylines.
Balloon Ride
How about a balloon ride for combined bondage and landscape photography? Just think about the possibilities for spectacular suspensions! 😀
But it probably isn’t realistic. First there are the obvious stumbling blocks of cost and time. Then there’s the question of photographic quality. Good weather for flying probably means the light is too hard. And how about depth of field: Would it be possible to capture the model and a sharp view of the landscape in the same shot? Would the model block too much of the view?
There’s also bound to be some law against flying a balloon in the nude, I just know it. Anyway, I like the idea too much to just drop it quietly.

I’ve got this picture in my mind, of fairies dancing in a meadow. It’s a moonlit night or early morning, quiet and peaceful. A light mist is slowly rising from the grass. A lone fox is heard barking in the distance. The fairies are dancing slowly, gracefully, blending with the mist.It’s a beautiful picture but as you can see, one important part is missing: I just can’t come up with a good reason to incorporate bondage. Who would do the tying? Someone sneaking up on them? Why? Would it even be possible to tie up a fairy?
If you manage to work out these details you can look forward to getting out of bed in the wee hours to dance in the chilly dew. 😀Two links to give you an idea of my mental image:

This is a request for a specific version of the hogtie. I read about it in a novel once but have never seen it performed.
The thumbs are tied together behind the back (rope, cable tie or thumb cuffs). One ankle (let’s say the left one) is rested at the back of the other (right) knee. The right foot is then hooked under the thumbs, the leg thereby locking the left foot.
How secure is this tie? My guess is that someone with a flexible back could get out of it easily. In that case, don’t bother doing this request.How many minimalist – and secure – ties can you come up with?
Chilworth Manor
In 1985 I visited Chilworth Manor outside of Guildford (not the one close to Southampton). 25 years ago!? I don’t believe it!
I’ve got some photos from the visit, showing a lawn, a pond, ducks, the manor itself, a lawn, brick walls, some old trees, and a lawn. People appear only sparsely, especially people in bondage, which makes the photos rather boring to look at. Can you please help me correct this old issue?Take the lawn for example. According to Google Maps it’s still there and it really cries out for some ornamentation. I’m not one for placing plaster gnomes or roe deers in the garden but there happens to be one kind of ornament that I could possibly stand the sight of.
Do you find the lawn too exposed? How about a refreshing stroll in the more remote parts of the garden? Just an early nineteenth century gentleman, his lady and a leash.

You’ve got to love a book store almost large enough to get lost in! Foyles at Charing Cross Road fits that bill nicely but I must admit I hardly remember anything from my visits in the eighties. Maybe you could refresh my memory?
Do you think the management would permit a photo session in the kinky aisle? What would be more natural to find there than a woman in bondage, leafing through books on bondage?Tourist Guide
This can be seen as a continuation of the Chilworth suggestion. Do you know the geography and history of southern England well? You do? I don’t.
Would you be willing to show me what I’ve been missing in form of historic sites, idyllic little towns and beautiful nature sceneries? With a kinky twist, naturally.
I bet you can come up with lots of suggestions, so this might develop into a series. Maybe you could apply for a grant from Visit Britain? 😀
In the case of historic sites I would love to see some of that history enacted, preferably in (or out of) clothes true to the period.When you feel England has nothing more to give, maybe you could continue with Wales? Hywel will probably throw me out now, but the fact is I hardly know anything about it.

Some time ago I mentioned the fact that it may be harder to convey action in photos than in videos. I’m very happy and proud to announce a New, Revolutionary and Altogether Marvellous Apparatus for bringing a sense of action and movement to stills. I know it will work perfectly as soon as someone finds the time to actually build one.
I guess you are using equipment similar to this to fire the flashes. What if one of the receivers would be connected, not to a flash but to a power box with electrodes? You would basically get a remote controlled and synced model. 😈 Maybe this equipment would even cause too much action in the shots? Good thing the Hasselblad has a fast sync speed.

My next request is for Ariel. I’m not sure if it’s mean and hot, or just mean. Probably the latter.
Ariel, a while back you listed some things on your blog which make you feel humiliated. (I don’t quite understand why. I’d say several of the things you mention would be only annoying and embarrassing rather than humiliating.) Anyway, I’m surprised you open yourself up to attack by listing these things. It doesn’t seem like a rational thing to do. It only makes sense if seen as a subconscious cry for help. Your inner self obviously wants to overcome your fear of these situations.

And, by opposing, kill them.My request is that you make a video with some of your fears incorporated. May I suggest a really bad spanking video with a lousy and incoherent story line, a crappy dialogue in a foreign language (German, if I may choose. Or Dutch. 😈 Subtitle may be necessary.), sloppy bondage, and Hywel enthusiastically wielding some seriously wimpy implements.
Humiliation is not something I usually enjoy seeing but in this case it can perhaps be made so over the top as to turn it into something amusing. As I hope you understand, I’m aiming for some light comedy here. Do you think you can pull it off? If so, make it good. Make it suck!

I really enjoy the “everyday female” as a damsel in distress.
It would be great to see more darker, lurid type of photos such as home invasions and trunk of auto
abductions. The models should be dressed in everyday clothing ( secretary, waitress, work out gear etc.)
