Hi all – this is a hardware question and who better to ask then the experts 😉 — I have a fiancee’ that I play bondage with but any handcuffs we find are just too large for her tiny, tiny wrists and she can escape (although she gets some punishment if she does!) – still it’d be nice to have something secure – does anyone know of anything that we could use? (i.e. not zip ties etc…we like handcuffs for the aesthetic of metal on skin…so we’re really just looking for a smaller sized version)
Thanks!
September 10, 2009 at 21:10 #15530Greetings from New Jersey,
Hi cl.reply. To try to answer your question about small size handcuffs, I would expect that at least some of the better known handcuff makers probably have special cuffs for undersize or oversize wrists. It’s something police do have to deal with from time to time. Smith & Wesson used to make a cuff that opened wider and closed smaller than their standard cuffs. If memory serves it was called the Model 1. I have not looked to see if they still make it or what the minimum cuff size might be. It might or might not suit your needs depending on wrist size. You might try a website like Handcuff Warehouse (http://www.handcuffwarehouse.com) and see what they have. They carry a large number of cuffs from many different makers so they may have something that would fit your requirements. I have purchsed several items through them and they have a rapid response rate and so far I have not had any problems with an order.
Beyond the normal cuff makers then you have a couple of choices but all will be kind of expensive as they are mostly custom made restraints. RE uses the SM Factory collar and cuffs a lot on the site and the maker has a good reputation (their site is http://www.sm-factory.de). All the work is sized to order. Another well known firm is Rigid Cuff. The owner makes a number of heavy weight metal restraints in a range of sizes but will do custom sizes as well (the site is http://www.cuff24.com). A newer firm, to my knowledge anyway, is one called Dungeon Delights (http://www.dungeondelights.com). They also do custom size metal shackles. I am not that familiar with them so I can not really comment on their reputation but it seems to be a good one from what little I have seen.
Another possible alternative is a couple of the chastity belt makers. Most also seem to sell locking collars, wrist and ankle cuffs and the cuffs can be padlocked together. They all seem to offer much the same product. A steel band cuff that is lined with either neoprine rubber or with silicone, locks on with a small attached padlock and generally comes with an “O” or “D” ring for connection purposes. Again these will be more expensive than regular handcuffs. Three of the better known names for these firms are Tollyboy, Neosteel and My-Steel.
Hope that is of some use to you.Cheers,
Jeff
September 11, 2009 at 17:46 #15531Ah – thanks so much for the VERY informative post Jeff – It does seem like we’re going to have to go with something custom sized, she’s just too tiny :-p
September 12, 2009 at 19:21 #15532I used to have some Clejuso No. 12 which went tiny as standard and were generally very good 😉
Juvanile(sp?) cuffs used to be made widely but are now out of favour politically and probably not produced, although “American” are not in business anymore their “JN-105” would be perfect if you can find them somewhere.
Good luck
M
September 17, 2009 at 19:01 #15533Ah – those handcuffs (JN-105) do look perfect…such a shame that I can’t find them anywhere for sale on the web…just in random collector’s collections 🙁
