I agree that the RE members don’t really go much for the gothic look. However, I think that a big factor behind Industrial Bitch not being received well was that she was always (IIRC) shod in fetishy footwear in her sets. If she had been a barefoot female monster-creature in her sets, then I think that her sets would have gotten a better reception.
