I’ve become a fan of the KUB reproduction Irish 8 handcuffs, so I was happy to see them on Helen Stephens in the recent set. I wouldn’t have thought they would fit over an armbinder, but it was a clever idea.

What I like about the Irish 8s is that they combine the security and convenience of handcuffs with the restrictiveness of rope. The result is much like a classic rope wrist tie with a cinch in the middle. Palms together is most comfortable, but behind the back it’s even more secure than it looks; just try to get the key in by yourself!
