I would have liked to see Lera keep her glasses through the entire set. I don’t think its a glasses fetish on my part so much as an annoyance of seeing glasses being used (yet again) as an anti-sex symbol. “Lets make the model look more sexy by taking away her glasses really quickly!”

The problem is that this doesn’t work. In fact, it backfires. If a model isn’t wearing glasses in a set, that’s fine. But if she is wearing glasses at the start, then the glasses partake of her overall sexiness, and taking them away reduces her sexiness rather than increasing it.

Glasses aren’t so much like clothing (where stripping is sexy) but more like jewelry, where the removal also tends to be unsexy. Having, say, a belly-piercing removed in the middle of a set doesn’t work as part of a sexy-striptease – not even for someone like me, who doesn’t like belly-piercings in the first place. Likewise with stripping away glasses – only more so because I don’t at all mind glasses, the way I do piercings.

On the other hand, the handcuff-hogtie worked well. It looked better than having her cuffed while sitting in the chair. But on the gripping hand, I would like to see chair-ties in future sets. Just not with handcuffs or other metal restraints. Instead, I’d like to see them with rope – or better yet with duct tape or some other binding material of the sort we hardly ever see her on RE any more.

    OR

“Let’s make the victim super vulnerable by removing the sense of sight!!

As a female bondage loving glasses wearer, this is how I choose to look at it (pardon the pun).

I don’t see glasses as an ‘anti sex’ symbol but more as a layer of a person’s identity. If this layer is stripped away along with freedom of movement and will, it is an extremely powerful thing.

    Just saying! 😉

“Let’s make the victim super vulnerable by removing the sense of sight!!” Well, maybe. But one might also say “Let’s make the victim feel really vulnerable by letting her see what’s happening without being able to do anything about it!!”

Or I could just be the grumpy guy who is (just barely) old enough to remember when “boys don’t make passes at girls wearing glasses” was the received TRVTH with no dissent or contradiction in sight. And a big enough geek to resent it, all these decades later.
