A realy ugly fashion – so many girls has a large ugly piece of jewellery dangeling from their navel – i realy think it distracts from both the stunning beauty of all RE models and the superb photography.

AlexI have mixed and mostly negative feelings about navel jewelry myself, and mostly try to ignore its presence. On one hand, I can understand and even agree with the concept of a little decoration there. On the other hand, navel jewelery implies a navel piercing, and that I find slightly squicky.
(Of course I find most any piercing to be at least slightly squicky, with the possible exception of earlobes for traditional earrings. Navel piercings are not as bad as some of the others, even if they’re not what I’d call good.)
Even if navel jewelry could be put in place without a piercing or anything equally squicky, too big a piece of jewelry there is tacky, and jewelry there at all is something I wouldn’t want to see all models wearing, or even most models wearing. A good part of its attractive side comes from being “rare and exotic.”
I don’t have much of a feeling one way or the other, so I tend to leave it up to what the model arrives with. I would probably ask her to take it out if there was some reason why I thought it didn’t go with the storyline, I guess. I don’t know how much of a fight they are to take out (or how difficult it is to photoshop the piercing hole, although I don’t imagine it would be a big job).

Not tricky at all to photoshop out one piercing hole- 150 piercings later might be less fun……. 😆
dont mind the piercing itself – but those large ugly pieces of jewellery they put in!
Well – just take them out or use a plain ring or something. Hate large dangeling earrings as well – many shoots (nobody mentioned C. Carter) dident get downloaded for just that reason.
