We’re launching two new sites next year!
SilkSoles.com (well, strictly this one is a relaunch). Gorgeous girls getting naked and barefoot. Sexy stripteases and playful fun feeling, with a focus on the soles of the feet because that’s what I like 🙂
NudeInMetal.com. Girls doing day-to-day tasks nude in metal bondage. In the world of the website, being a Nude-In-Metal girl is a lifestyle choice, something a lot of pretty girls decide to do. Some love it so much they do it 24/7, others enjoy it for sexy occasions. It’s a development of the “Restrained Elegance Days” video series from RE.
We have shot a few sets for these already, which are sexy and great fun (and which I’ll be posting as free teasers when I get the new sites hosting sorted out and asking for feedback on).
In the meantime though I have a question about whether we should shoot video AND stills for each update, or sometimes do either stills OR video. I’ve posted more fully about it on my blog and would very much like to know what you think- let me know either here on by commenting on the blog post:

Either way, as long as there are a decent number of stills offered on the site.
I very much prefer stills, but I seem to be in the minority in that.
Moving off-topic, I’m much more likely to join Nude In Metal than Silk Soles. But I’d like to repeat the comment I recently made in the suggestion subforum: All nude, all the time is wearing; I like to see some bright, skimpy costumes in the mix. Maybe not for the “Nude In Metal” site, if “all nude, all the time” is one of the selling points, but in RE sets.
I’m thinking of something simple, like a bright-colored piece of silk tied around the waist, or acting as a loincloth (with a tied cord, or a padlocked chain, as a belt to hold it in place). Or if the model is collared, maybe a narrow and/or bunched length of cloth, one end tied to the collar in front, dropping down between the breasts (not covering them), between the legs, and back up to be tied at the back of the collar. (Sort of a cloth crotch-rope.)
Oh, and please have the models’ hands secured in front as they perform their tasks. Especially if they are completely nude.
Nude + hands behind + tasks = looks like pulling things from their asses = at least faintly squicky.

Hi Hywel and all the RE Crew.
I looked at the photos over on your blog and at normal resolution, on my monitor at least, I was very hard pressed to see much of a difference between the top photo and the one just below it. If I go to 200% on the image size then I can see the beginnings of some slight blurring on the lower of the two matching photos. Personally I have only downloaded maybe five sets in the large file size format. It’s a little pointless to use the large format ones on a 17” monitor and I’m not planning on hooking the PC up to the big screen TV any time soon.
I would be fine with doing what you are doing now on the main RE site. Use the video lights for the video with frame grabs and use the photo lights for the photos. Honestly I would also be fine with using the video light for some stills here and there to accompany the frame grabs when you put a video up on the new sites. Maybe there is more distinction on an HD monitor but I can’t tell the difference with what I have currently.
I also tend to echo Lurker’s comments about have the ladies on the Nude in Metal site doing their chores with the hands restrained in front of them the bulk of the time. There have been a couple of sets and a video or two on the RE main site that have shown some of the ladies trying to set a table or wash dishes with their wrists behind their back. Perhaps from time to time as punishment for failing another task or as a special challenge to earn the favor of the master or mistress it works. I just don’t feel it works very well as far as going about day to day chores goes.

Thanks to you both and to everyone who has posted/voted on the blog post too.
Turns out there is pretty clear support for maximum quality, rather than making sure we have stills and video of everything. Zero votes for not bothering with the full size JPEGs, which is interesting as I was considering going down that route. (Although of course the “I only watch the videos” votes are also by extension votes for not providing the full size JPEGs).
We have shoots over the next few days where we’d already planned to shoot stills & video of everything for the new sites, so we’ll go through those as we’d laid them out, but thereafter we will switch to shooting stills OR video. That will allow us do the best job of lighting and shooting for maximum quality.
If it is a stills set, make it the best sort of stills set, we won’t have to compromise it by trying to shoehorn in shooting a video of it as well (and vice verse).
Thank you all – it has been hugely helpful in deciding how to run these shoots.
And as a fringe benefit, you’ll be seeing a whole bunch of great new models and shoots with RE fave models in sumptuous new locations over the next few months as we’re shooting for RE with them too!
