    Hi,

I have a small suggestion: to eliminate padlocks from the photo sets.
Sometimes, especially when wearing the beautiful SM-Factory manacles (see for example today’s “Oh, Those Shiny SM Cuffs!”, ladies’ wrists and ankles are tied together with big, inelegant padlocks, which spoil the elegance of the photos.
Why not to use a different, chain-like lock?

    Thanks,

    RC

I agree. In fact, I’ve raised the point before. The problem is that there is practically nothing out there by way of suitable “chain-like” locks. Or at least my google-fu is not strong enough to find them. So as an alternative I’ve suggested “disk” style padlocks as looking at least a little more elegant.

Another possibility might be a trigger lock.

    Hi Lurker,

    Have a look here:

    http://www.urbanhart.com/shopsite/carabiners_srewlink.html

items 5, 6 and 7 could go: they have a screw gate lock, that of course can be open with no effort, but for the purpose of making a nice photo set they are as strong as chains rings without being as hugly as padlocks.
I’m sure that in good hardware shops one can find even something better.

    Cheers,

The carabinas are all well and good but go against the unyielding and inescapable nature of metal bondage…. I quite like the look of disk padlocks (they look like a pendant!) and think the small combination locks could be quite effective:

These glow in the dark ones could be fun for training a slavegirl to be still in a stress position… they light up when they move!

Of course, dear Lady Kate, I’d never use a carabiner for enslaving a beautiful lady (like You), but only for the purpose of producing an elegant photo set!

    My best regards,

    Greetings from New Jersey,

Hi Everyone. I hope you are all doing well.

While I think I can understand your feelings 44rodolfoc and Lurker, I would not like to see the carabineers or combination locks used in the RE photo sets or videos. RE has used carabineers previously to “lock” the rectangular cage and, at least for me, it completely spoils the illusion of the bondage fantasy because the lady is not truly “In Bondage” since she could easily escape. This also applies to sets where locking metal or leather cuffs are attached together. If she can escape in a matter of seconds simply by twisting the screw cap of the carabineer then what is the point of the bondage in the first place? Yes it’s only a fantasy to be sure when it comes to a site like RE but what spoils the effect for me is something that can be so easily escaped from. A padlock can not be escaped from unless the person in bondage has access to the key or some tools. Bicycle style combination locks that have three or four rotating dials each numbered 0 – 9 are almost as bad. It doesn’t take much time to cycle though all the possible combinations. I not a fan of the dial style combination locks on safety grounds. In an emergency they can take far too long to get unlocked.

Dear Temptress Kate, it is with great hesitation I bring up that I don’t think the light up combination locks you referenced would encourage a slave girl to keep still in a stress position. If I’m reading the descriptions of the locks on some other web pages correctly the locks only light up when the dial is rotated, not when the lock as a whole moves. Nice fantasy however.

Now in looking at the “Oh Those Shiny SM Cuffs” photo set with Sammie B I can see the point about the lock perhaps being too big or clunky, particularly in something like photo “re8IMG_9941.”

Yes the lock is perhaps bigger than it needs to be to secure Sammie’s cuffs. To me it’s fine but I get the point. Perhaps a lock more the size of the ones used on the cuffs themselves might make the look a bit less “clunky” and more elegant.

A classic case of different strokes for different folks.

    Be well all.

    Cheers,

    Jeff

What’s the point of having metal restraints if they’re not inescapably locked? Might as well switch to fluffy handcuffs with emergency release levers then. *cringe*

Like someone said, carabinas etc totally spoil the illusion. I want to really feel and know, that even though I didn’t control this girl personally, at least she was totally and utterly under the control of the photographer who took the pictures.

I’d like to see steel collars and steel cuffs welded on. But that’s just me.
