Seems like a while since we’ve seen a fresh update from Penny, and years since we last saw a RE shoot with her. Do you have any plans to get her back again soon? And perhaps see a continuation of her Game Of Slaves storyline?February 11, 2019 at 22:23 #28058
Yes it has been a while since we worked with Penny – we did a week-long shoot with her some time ago and we’ve nearly got through the updates, so I should book her again soon. We live on opposite sides of the country now so it’s a bit of long haul to get her over here, but hopefully we can figure something out over the summer.
I’ve also wound down the Game of Slaves updates, having finished the arcs on the few parallel stories I’d planned. Did people enjoy it? Should we do another round of Game of Slaves shoots?

I’ll put in a vote for a new storyline, rather than continuing “Game of Slaves.” Maybe a tongue in cheek conflict between two different groups of slavers:
“We must steal the Earth women from the alien invaders so that they can be sold to the elf lords!”
“No! We must abduct the human women from the elf lords and give them as tribute to the aliens!”
More generally, make the background into something fantastical, with any references to modern political or culture-war issues scrambled so as to avert any sort of mapping to real-world factions (when they can’t be left out entirely).
Re Hywel and Penny being on opposite sides of the country. This is where I throw in the old chestnut about 100 years being a long time in the US and 100 miles being a long distance in the UK. OTOH, checking Google maps it looks more like 200+ miles. But on the gripping hand, 200+ miles is the distance I drive a couple of times a year to run a D&D game for some old friends.February 15, 2019 at 12:24 #28060
It’s 200 miles through some of the worst traffic in the country- try to do it on a Monday morning and you’d be lucky to arrive before sunset. So what it generally means is Penny getting up a 3 in the morning or something to do the drive, which isn’t particularly safe or conducive to her looking her best.
So why try to make sure we at least book her for a couple of days – doing it there and back in the day is not feasible. And explains why we’ve mostly shot with her on location trips in recent years.
