Hi Hywel;
Just a quick observation.
The other day you finished a set with you carrying a barefoot Ariel off over your shoulder ‘ArielSunsetMeadow’. It dawned on me that this is something that we have only seen very rarely on RE if at all (can you remember another set – I couldn’t) – this is perhaps only something you feel comfortable doing with Ariel. In the whole dom/sub thing I think the image of you picking your victim up and carrying her off is very powerful and says a lot about the power play between the two of you (you strong and manly her light, feminine and helpless). I was just wondering if this would be something you would consider doing more of (wealthy heiress captured and carried off by the kidnapper). It’s not something that had dawned on me before but seeing those few photos got me thinking.

I’d like to do more carrying stuff, maybe Ariel will be a little less scared now that she know I actually can carry her without dropping her 😮 😯 😮

Actually, this is something of an issue for me. In the days when I didn’t have a BDSM relationship, and the website was a bit of fun, I didn’t have any issue with acting stuff out on camera (so long as the model was comfortable acting it out too, obviously). I think it is only natural that one’s feelings change when things that were acted are part of your relationship with your partner. I think we’re both still finding our feet with that.
I’ve done enough rigging over the years that bondage rigging for shoots is “relationship safe” for me. I’ve got a good bondage bedside manner. There’s quite enough to be worrying about with neatness, elegance, strictness and safety followed by lighting ratios and f-stops that I never did get particularly turned on, though few believe me when I say that!
Spanking and dom/sub stuff feels too personal and precious for it to feel comfortable without Ariel there, either being the sub on screen or being the story writer and director off-screen. Carrying falls into the same category.
I’m glad I pulled off being strong and manly in those photos though, small miracle! Given she’s several inches taller than me that always feel like a bit of a trick 😆 😉 (It doesn’t really, of course. I’m quite arrogant enough to believe that I’m being strong and manly even in the most ludicruous of circumstances!)

Ooh, I did love being carried off! I think it’d be good to put into a video maybe. This time it wasn’t really meant to be part of the shoot, ACTUALLY. But it’s great for drama, and it makes me feel all fragile and small…
I don’t mind if you carry some of the models around at shoots, Hywel, as long as you don’t actually take them anywhere 😉 And I’d like you to carry me round some more, I think I’m over the ‘dropping on head’ phobia now…
