The forum doesn't like the letters "S" and "e"

OK, I’ve seen some bizarre bugs in my time but this is the strangest.

The forum software has decided it does not like posts which begin with “Se”.
So Sablesword’s recent posting “Secretary Hannah” generated a 404 error when one tried to view it.
As does “Secretary Hannah Test”, “Secretary”, “Sec” and “Se”.

“Sa” does not generate the error, nor do any other strings I’ve tried.

I have not the faintest idea what might be causing this. It could be part of the move to new servers. It could be the “point” update of the forum software I did recently.

It’s new because an earlier forum topic called “Server Move” posted fine then, but generates the error now.

Digging through the guts of WordPress/bbPress is a bit beneath (i.e. beyond!) my pay grade these days so I’ve punted it to the bbPress tech support forum.

In the meantime, all I can suggest is if you make a forum post then get a “404 file not found” error, you try posting again with a different title, or let me know and I can dig your post out and repost on your behalf with a different title. The post text was stored fine, it just generated an error when you try to view it via the forum. I rescued the text because it is all visible via the admin panel. So the text won’t be gone, it just won’t be showing up via the forum directly.

There’s also a problem with the “front page” of the blog. It looks like the most recent post is something blank, and WordPress returns “Not Found” and offers a search box.
