Hello! I’m just back from a trip away, which usually means a break from being able to visit the forum too… So it’s lovely to be back! I’ve been wondering what my best bondage experience has been this year, and then I started wondering if anyone else has had any particular memorable bondage moments? Please share! This year, a few of my loveliest moments which I play back to myself when I’m sitting on a plane feeling bored are;…..
Sleeping in Hywel’s cage in February. I’d wanted to do that basically ALL MY LIFE, and I kept waking up and thinking ‘I’m actually DOING this!’.
Being taken to a country house in the middle of nowhere (somewhere in the UK, but who knows where?) and punished for something I’d actually done wrong, in front of a group of people I’d never met before. This was the sort of thing I’d been trying to bring to life in videos, and suddenly it was actually happening to me for real, and I hadn’t planned it!
Having a chance to work with Chanta, and realising that work sometimes doesn’t feel anything like work! And wishing the day would just never end π Ok, that wasn’t a moment; but during the jungle girl strapado tie when she incorporated my hair into it and pulled my head right back – THAT was a moment!
Anyone want to share? I want to know!
You were also one of the highlights of my year sexy girl!

OK, OK, OK I get the message… you would rather like me to book another week-long location shoot and invite you along. I would never have guessed – it is not like you have been dropping the hint two or three times a day on every shoot! π π π :p
I’ve done more shoots this year than ever, many of them memorable for good reasons and a few memorable for the wrong ones. Not all the sets have gone up on the site yet so I hope people won’t mind me reminiscing about things they haven’t seen yet!
Long Term Bondage. That was definitely a high although I don’t think I had any idea of how intense it would be being a mean dom AND doing the camerawork for 24 hours! I think my favourite bits were giving Ariel her first proper bastinado and discovering that she could really take it, and really love/hated it. So that’s led onto several more really memorable moments- probably culminating in the bastinado in our second (as yet unedited) long-term bondage shoot where I made Ariel ask for each stroke and she pushed herself to see how much she could actually take.
Shooting my first film. I learned a hell of a lot, and realised exactly why it is that even a short zero-budget film tends to have thirty or more people in the credits. A film is a million miles away from a website video. I promise I will get the film onto RE in the New Year- we have the rough cut edit which has basically been untouched since April. Now I’m taking a bit of a break from shooting and can catch up on processing and editing hopefully I’ll be able to get back to it.
Chanta coming back to the UK, having her stay at our house and regaling us of tales of fucking men in the ass with strap-ons… this conversation being at the dinner table, all of ten minutes after she arrived! Doing the first suspension with a whole bunch of great girls who really wanted to try it- it is almost becoming a tradition.

You’ve already seen the suspensions we did with Fi Stevens and Ariel, but we’ve got some “in the can” waiting to be processed with Paige, Jasmine Sinclair, Hannah and Sophia Smith and a WICKED (and rather rude!) upside-down suspension with Ariel when Chanta and I got our revenge on her for all her back-chat and sass on the forum
:devilishangelShooting with the lovely Pling was a real delight. I’ve never taken photos of a member from the site before, I don’t think I was expecting to enjoy the day quite as much as I did! And doing her first suspension was really cool too!
The highest high point was definitely the trip to France. I’ve done several long shooting trips in the past but they have always been distinctly mixed experiences. Despite the house having no hot water for most of the week, everyone was really chilled out, worked hard, put in a hell of a lot of effort. I think the best bondage moments of the year were sat around the table having dinner and a glass of wine, looking through the day’s shots with Ariel, Hannah, Kate and Sabrina and realising that we had done some absolutely STUNNING stuff.

My favorite set this past year was Iryna as a captured Russian spy. It combined two of my favorite themes on Restrained Elegance – creativity & handcuffs.
I think you can guess what I’m about say :;):
The best memory this year is when I got the chance to come to the restrained studio for a day and meet Hywel, had so much fun π π :loveblush

Fav moment? I’ve been debating this for the last couple of coffee’s and decided I can’t decide. Probably one of your video’s with Chanta, but Fi’s suspension was also impressive, along with the Paige Cage and…
Pretty crappy bondage year for me now I think about it, started with a carefully planned realisation of an abduction fantasy which couldn’t have easily gone more wrong (I think I mentioned it). Followed by a year of infrequent or missed opportunity. Arrhh.. π Still, its been fun to see you realise some fantasys, looking forward to more of the same.

Memorable moments? Well so many. Rejoining the site and seing Chantra playing, the previews with Chantra in steel – bodes well…. :p
So many fabulous girls and the current queen Ariel, all in all fabulous.
Did a photo shoot earlier with a local model – ended up tying her up, great pics, she loved it, I loved it. (Told her to look at the site and contact H – dont know if she did.
Realising that wrapping a rope around someone to look good is different to bondage – watching Chantra at work is an education as well as art.
Very tempted to go on the reserve list for Feb, plenty to learn :devil

So itΓ’β¬β’s my 100th post!!! How very exciting though I had to be quick, as Merlin and Ariel are approaching triple figures fast as well! (I noticed a little while ago that the bit that says my assumed name Γ’β¬β over there to the left Γ’β¬β says that I have been a member since March 2003, HywelΓ’β¬β’s says he has been a member since may 2004 so god knows who I was talking with in here for that year!). To be honest the thought of this monumentous benchmark posting has had a negative impact on my recent posting rate, as I was keen that the big 100 should be spent on a decent post as opposed to a couple of word comment at the end of somebody elseΓ’β¬β’s post. I had considered a post along the lines of Γ’β¬Εwhat is your favourite RE set of all time?Γ’β¬

Seriously, one of the things I’ve really enjoyed the most this year is that the forum is really starting to feel like a community. That’s thanks to people like CD for posting lots, and everyone who posts for posting a little, and Ariel and Chanta for being themselves on here!
I think the reason I seem to have joined later was that we upgraded the forum software in 2004. I imported all the user details, except for my own account which is the super-admin one, which I had to create afresh so I could import everyone else’s. I think I prefer CD’s explanation that he was talking to himself for a year, though.
On Chanta and I having a different rigging style- we do, ’tis true. But interestingly I think after the first trip we got much better in tune and so Chanta’s been rigging for me in a “Restrained Elegance style” a bit more. It is still distinctively Chanta, tight and inescapable, but paying more attention to what visual effect it has as well as what physical effect it has on the girl’s body and how it feels. On her first trip back Chanta would barely touch my shiny colourful nylon rope, but by the last shoot she was suggesting we use it! There’s no denying it is harder work to tie with than hemp, and if you don’t want the “zing” of the bright primary colours for visual reasons you’d use hemp every time.
Nothing ties like hemp. But nothing “pops” quite the way the coloured nylon does when you get the lighting and colour combination just right, either.
It was funny watching Chanta try to lock metal cuffs on someone and discover that she really is a rope girl not a metal dominatrix, though!
I know we’ve been a bit heavy on the ropes with Chanta coming back, but I do have quite a lot of metal bondage sets (eg from France) and I hope that others agree with CD that getting Chanta back to do some rigging has really helped expand the horizons on RE a bit. It has certainly been GREAT fun to do first suspensions with a bunch of models!

Having had no involvement in the site since November 2002 (after I graduated and moved up North), one of my best bondage moments of this year has to be sometime in January when I received an email out of the blue from Hywel inviting me to the RE 5th birthday party in April.
I had a lovely time at the do and it was great catching up with Hywel and seeing the film and I realised something…. I*really* missed being a part of all this!
When I revisited the site (for the first time in 4 years…) I was amazed at how it still remained true to the initial style that Hywel developed back in the day but how it had also moved on so much as far as the quality of the bondage and photography went.
When Hywel was looking for someone to help out with the publicity side of things I, naturally, jumped at the chance and have been getting more and more involved with things as the year has progressed.
This culminated in the France Trip – I was over the moon when asked to step in at the last minute and this trip resulted in LOADS of best moments for me. This was mainly due to the excellent company I had in Hywel, Ariel, Hannah and Sabrina.
I definitely agree with Hywel that it was fantastic sitting round the laptop with a glass of wine looking at the results of the day. It almost moved me to tears that I was capable of creating such stunning shots (mainly thanks to Hywel’s lighting skills and some excellent models…) as I had been terrified of doing something stupid and letting everyone down!
Probably my favourite set to shoot in France was a military set with Ariel. Hywel was rigging and I was shooting and directing – it was the most ‘hardcore’ stuff I shot all week I reckon and I can’t wait to see it processed! (HINT HINT HYWEL!)
Sets that stand out for me on RE have been Ariel and the Shoe Gag, all of the Chanta / Ariel sets (particularly the Hogtie and Stocks in a Box! Ace!), Paige and the Globe Cage and Hannah’s development as a fully fledged bondage superstar (with an interesting obsession with licking and kissing inanimate objects, as we discovered in France)!
Woah! Essay! Probably forgot loads but this is one hell of a de-lurk anyway for now…

Okay, okay…I admit it…I suck woth metal bondage! I do love the way it looks but I feel so restricted (pardon the pun) when using it to restrain a model…with rope, I can do anything!!!
Yes, I agree with Hywel that after the first trip (June) I got more into the way to rig for RE, even becoming accustomed to the nylon rope and the bizarre lengths that Hywel has it cut in!
I have really, really enjoyed some of the shoots! Of course Ariel and Jasmine have been my favorites. Jasmine has a reputation in the US (within the bondage circuit) of being a bit of a pussy….and now that I have bound her (and slapped her around a bit) I can tell you that is absolutely not true!
Other highlights have been Paige Robbin’s flexibility, Hannah’s contagious happy personality, Donna Carter (although I apparently scared her away…oops), Sophia Smith and Petra Morgan.
And, just to put even more pressure on Hywel…when’s the next trip to France?????

Just a quick note to say, Kate; welcome from out of the shadows, you have lurked there far too long!!!. So pleased that you are back working with Hywel – and I hope to hear more of your thoughts and opinions in this forum – Hywel is right that the input that both Chanta and Ariel submit to the forum does increase the community spirit of the site and enchance the enjoyment of the sets to which they refer !!
I so completely agree with your statement about the site remaining true to it’s initial style. Even though it has clearly grown up quite a bit over the last 5 years it is precisely that vision as set out by Hywel, Jasmine and yourself in those early days that keeps us long-termers coming back for more.
Whilst I am pleased that you are back working with Hywel I am a little dissapointed that he has not convinced you to return to the front-side of the camera! Is there any chance of a return of Kate the model? Am I sensing an RE forums campaign for 2007?!?

It was odd being behind the camera in France, and I must say that I would love to be tied in a nice tight strappado once again… for the purposes of art, of course!

I must admit I prefer the rope bondage too. Metal does look good and suits certain scenarios to a tee but, I am probably going to offend LOADS of people here, it seems a bit of a ‘lazy option’ to me…

KATE!! yay, now there’s a nice surprise, I can only iterate CD’s comments, nice to have your input. Hope Hywel can assist with your “artistic” ambitions too.. Although I tend to be a steel fan I’d have to agree that rope looks better in most cases, I just wish it worked better and didn’t take the skills of Chanta and so long to achieve! When added to Hywels photography a decent tie is an art form and I appreciate it as that, its always nice to see here as its basically impossible or impractical to duplicate at home, where of course rigging usually takes on a wholly different and non-artistic purpose. :heybabe given the chance..

I’ve probably said it loads of time before, but I am pretty neutral on the whole rope/metal/leather/clingfilm/whatever bondage debate.
Hywel’s three rules of bondage:
1) She must not be able to run away.
2) She must not be able to kick me in the nuts.
3) She must not be able to get out (at least not without a good ten minutes of working at the knots, anyway).And rule number 4 for photoshoots:
4) WHATEVER LOOKS BEST.For the photos, we do sometimes ignore the “rules” in favour of something that might look good, or at an intermediate point in the story… say with metal stocks locked in place on the wrists and neck, but initially nothing at the ankles.
Rope can get someone in almost any position you care to name, and looks great if done tidily. But it is not so easy to tie someone so they can’t get out.
Metal on the other hand just does the one thing, locks someone in it inescapably. I don’t care how much you can wriggle and how flexible you are, if you are locked in a steel collar, chained to the wall, you simply aren’t going to get away without the key (or a hammer and chisel). It can also look great in the right circumstances- the SM factory polished cuffs in a decadent setting, or handcuffs in a police/arrest setting.
Leather cuffs are fine so long as they lock on, or at least the position is something like a spreadeagle where you can’t get at the buckles.
I don’t much like mixing rope and metal, I think it is a bit untidy, but I’ve got a few metal cuffs with no closures that I’ve tied with rope. It is the worst of both worlds so I tend not to do it.
Any other means of bondage will do so long as it fulfills Hywel’s rules!
I can take or leave gags- I know lots of people don’t consider it bondage if there’s no gag, but I think it is cool sometimes, so long as she can’t get away. Gags do limit the range of emotions somewhat. So I probably do gags a lot less than many photographers would, and some of the most popular models on the site don’t do gags at all. (Interesting that the absolute most common limit expressed by new models is “no ballgags”).
Rule 5 is of course:
5) She has to be barefootbut that really is just my foot fetish showing!

I must first of all admit to being slightly biassed but here goes…..
As far as RE is concerned, highlights are Ariel in the suspended ball tie, any other work Ariel did where Chanta was rigging as its great to see some of the qualities that Chanta’s different experience bring to a tie, the finding of Hannah (hopefully I will be working with her in the New Year).
From a general non-RE bondage viewpoint, highlights again include Ariel as I am fortunate enough to have been working with her for 2 years or more, the introduction to Sammie B (care of Ariel) who is another lovely model to work with (bondage or otherwise) and finally the finding of a brand new model who I think has the highest pain threshold of any model I have found. When she has a little more experience I will be putting her in touch with Hywel as I think he will love her.

We were all left dangling awaiting a tale of scandal and intrigue from Chanta – namely, the tale of the runaway Donna Carter….
LOL well it is scurrilous gossip and possible scandal and definitely third or fourth hand so take with a big pinch of salt!! I gather Donna was a bit bemused by the whole foot-worship thing in the office video (even though Chanta has nice feet… )
