I was recently watching an an old Kiri Kelly video that made nice use of having Kiri record some narration/voice over that was dubbed over her gagged struggles to make us privy to her thoughts. It was simple, “Oh no the burglars surprised me and tied me up. I’m so helpless. What if I never get free? What if they come back? Maybe if I slip my shoes off I can get to that phone”, kind of stuff, but it worked quite well. You might consider using that narrative trick to let us hear what a gagged damsel is thinking.
