Totally agree re the forum though, hundred plus members and about 10 contributors, kinda like having a conversation withsomeone in a crowed lift. Never really been a big fan of forums, many are just too strictly administered or kinda intimidating to post in. I admit I didn’t even look at this forum for ages and ages but I’m glad I did. Good job in Switzerland, looks like everyone fell for your cover..

We have a new assignment for you today, our man in the Midlands has been investigating (at length) a shadowy organisation called restrainedelegance as to whats so good..

He mentions the variety and quality.

Although it’s nice to see a model enduring a fiendish torture its also nice to balance that with a fluffier set. That variety is ususual, infact it’s recently been proved that most things members would like to see have actually already been done..

Consistant quality is also rare in several ways. Models are all of the hightest calibre, photography is well composed and lit to the point of a magazine shoot look and production values are reasonable with thought put ito costume, set dressing and storyline. All added together produces a unique look thats difficult to describe, put it this way, if the restrainedelegance.com stamp was removed from a photoset would any members have doubt as to where it was produced? Unlikely..

He also mentioned decent length and sized vids and an unusually approachable webmaster but I think by that point was conscious of being a bit :notworthy perhaps we should look at what the members don’t like..

Anyway, your mission to infiltrate the organisation to prove this, I expect photo and video evidence on my desk asap. Report to Q Section as I’m sure there’s some new toys for you, oh, and Ariel… do stop harassing Mr Moneypenny on the way out..

Just a couple of comments on the posts above. I so completely agree with Ariel’s point that often other bondage sites go to the trouble of immobilising the model (with varying degrees of success and asthetic pleasure) and then photographing the model static. I too feel that the RE shoots (and indeed the other sites for which Hywel is the principle rigger and photographer) are totally different in allowing some interaction with the model. For me this not only makes the bondage a whole lot more interesting (it provides a setting and something of a point to the shoot) but allows something of the models character to come out. Many of the American sites seem to shoot models who are not in the least submissive or into this whole scene and that does tend to create a really crappy affect. I therefore guess that the success of the shoots at RE are also heavilly dependent on the models, and that they are not doing anything that is not entirely comfortable (mentally – physical discomfort, though not desireable maybe a bit of an occupational hazzard) to them. The quality of photography here is about the best I have come across as well.

Merlin’s point about the range of different shoots appearing here is also a good one and a further positive of the site. I guess if you don’t like a set on here if you wait a couple of days there is likely to be one along that you do like. There has been a lot of chat in these forums lately about what restraints are used and I have to say, after some consideration, I am a tick in the box for the heavier, tighter rope or strap’s bondage as it is easier to restraint – intensified when a model tries to struggle against them. I think for me sometimes cuff sets suffer in that they allow maybe a little too much movement – there are some ankle cuffs that are used here sometimes, I am sure the chain of which is loger than the models (say someone like Belle’s) stride. I do like some of the metal yokes however (correct terminology?), the neck and wrist ones are good especially when used with a solid spreader between the legs. Have just mentioned in Belles corner that I am really enjoying the sets she did with Sabrina with all the dungeon equipment and hopefully now Hywel has his new studio we may see some more benches and crosses and things. I also enjoy the range of costumes in here (I lean towards the more contemporary looks as opposed the period ones, and enjoy the liberal sprinkling of fetishwear, PVC and leather here too). WARNING STUCK RECORD TIME; I also very much enjoy the barefoot content that run throughout this site, though would not want to deprive the stocking/shoe or boot brigade of their pleasures.

As for the percentage of members contributing to these forums I guess its a personal choice thing – just like voting in a coutries election if you don’t contribute your opinion then your position will not be represented. To continue the parallel however if you don’t contribute then you can’t whine about the result (and Blair wins again – sorry I’ve gone too far!!). Of Hywels comment “RE is my baby and so to a first approximation I shoot what *I* want to see” damn right – good luck to you. But then I would say that – I keep coming back for more so you must do something right!!.

I wish to report a complaint. In her post dated the 5th March 2006 (time 12:08) your model, Miss Ariel Anderson said the following;

“Hmmm, and thanks to Cavelier Driver and Merlin for bravely coming out of the closet and answering a post! Who would have thought it”

This is clearly a sarcastic comment, for which I hope the model in question will be severely punished (even if she does attend the shoot pre-bruised). Maybe some hard-core bastinado is in order???

Grrr, CD – I think Hywel might agree with you; I seem to remember getting into a great deal of trouble later in the Long Term Bondage project for being sarcastic. Oh well…..

And that’s to say nothing of the comment in the car on the way to the station at the end of the film shoot!!
