We just got back from a fantastic location shoot with Ariel, Katy Cee, Natalia Forrest and Temptress Kate. I’ve posted a few samples, behind-the-scenes shot and out-takes on the member’s area, and some samples on the forum here. Check them out… full sets coming as soon as we’ve had chance to back them up and unpack!

Shaping up for Silk Soles
Last summer Ariel and I decided we were going to relaunch my long-dormant foot fetish site, Silk Soles. I hadn’t shot anything for the site in a decade and we thought it would be fun to have a little project to work on together.
I’ve learned a lot since I last shot any pure foot fetish photos and it was inspirational to get back to it. I think the main thing I’ve learned is that following the market is not my style. When I launched the site before I tried to cater for lots of tastes, but even back in 2003 the foot fetish market was already very segmented with niche sites addressing narrow aspects of the fetish.
This time around I decided to shoot the things I like the best, do the best job I can of it, and hopefully enough people will share my passion that the site will break even and we can continue to do it.
I don’t know how I acquired my foot fetish. I’ve had it literally as long as I can remember. When I was a teenager, I used to devour glamour photos ranging from lingerie catalogues to men’s magazines, scouring them for photos of barefoot girls in and out of elegant clothes.
My favourite was Mayfair. It had plenty of barefoot girls because “stripper heels” had not yet become ubiquitous in men’s magazines. It often started with the girls fully dressed and had a little striptease which I found much more appealing than the “Bang! Naked! Genitals!” approach of some of the mags. And the girls looked and sounded like human beings, actual girls you might possibly meet and who might be your girlfriend one day, because it was also before the rise of the boob job, the lip injections and the loony blow-up doll makeup that now seems to constitute a lot of mainstream porn. The corny little stories about Jennifer from Birmingham who wanted to be a legal secretary were pure fiction, but it had an innocence and charm.
Modern porn (especially in the men’s magazines) seem to be all about genitals and toys and holes and orgasms and cum and fucking. Mom I’d-like-to-fuck, fuck-sluts, girls you wanna to fuck-fuck-fuck.
I miss the more romantic days when a photo set was about girls you’d like to date, and maybe one day marry.*
So I decided to make my own. Hence, the rebirth of Silk Soles, with a mission statement to recreate the feeling I used to get looking at those Mayfair magazines of old. Barefoot, striptease, and something about the story and the girl that ideally will interest you and invite you to dream of more than just a quickie. It may not be distinguishable from “fuck fuck” porn in just a few photos, but it is important that the motivation is there when we shoot for me.
(* Apologies here to bi, gay, poly and other readers for whom this vision of heterosexual monogamy might be a bit offensive. Translate to “girl you’d like to have a relationship with that involves more than just fucking her once and clearing off”.)
It is great fun trying, and I hope we’ll succeed. Here’s a few stills to show you our first attempts.
We’ve shot about half the content we need to open the site so far, and have a bunch of shoots over the next few months- watch this space as we build the site and invite you to take a look around.
What do you think? Are you old enough to miss the loony biographies of the girls from old-style Mens Mags, or do you prefer the “clean” context free pictures of porn that’s all about sex?

Bastinado Released!
Today we are very proud to announce the release of our latest feature film, Bastinado.
Details: http://www.elegancestudios.com/page23/page24/
Trailer (right click, save as): http://www.elegancestudios.com/page23/page24/movies-5/files/page25-movie-0.mp4
As you may have noticed, I have a foot fetish, and as a dominant sadist, the purest expression of that is bastinado, falakka and foot torture. It is one of the things Ariel and I like most in the world 😉
We were nervous but excited when we set out to make a film centred around foot torture and punishment. Because it is really our thing, we wanted to try to do the very best job we could. That’s why it was the first feature we shot with our RED digital cine camera, because we’ve finally got the techie kit that’s capable of bringing the images in our heads to life.
The development of the script was an interesting process. Although it is our fantasy, we wanted to hear from as many other bastinado fans as we could. We got lots of inspiration from the emails and the online chat sessions – many thanks to everyone who pitched in! We hope you like what we’ve done with your ideas and suggestions!
All that remains is to let you watch the film for yourselves. We really hope you enjoy it- please do drop us a line to let us know!
Cheers, Hywel & Ariel
Day in the Life – in Post Production!
Hi All,
We just got back from a week’s location shoot in Somerset with awesome models Scarlot Rose, Ariel Anderssen, Hannah Claydon, Sophia Smith, Anita deBauch and Temptress Kate. As part of our trip we shot a feature set in the world of “Slave Auction”, provisionally titled Day in the Life.
Post production will take us a considerable number of months- even transcoding the footage so we can edit it will take two solid weeks of CPU- but to give you a taste of what’s to come, here are a few framegrab stills from the film!
Cheers, Hywel.
Welcome to the new-look blog!
Welcome to my new-look blog!
As Apple have decided to kill off the hosting, comments and web design software for my old blog (nice one, Apple!) I’ve decided to take the opportunity to move to something more professional. Hence, the new-look blog and website.
I’ve also decided to rationalise our blogs by merging the HywelPhillips.com and EleganceStudios.com blogs. New EleganceStudios.com blog announcements will now appear here. I’ve imported the old ES blog posts, but the old HywelPhillips ones can’t be handled so easily. You can find an archive of those older essays in the “Archives from old blog site” link on the left.
Cheers, Hywel
