    Hi Hywel;

    I don’t know what it is but that pink rope really suited Amy in yesterday’s video (the one with her tied on the center island of the incredibly nice looking kitchen – not that I was particularly concentrating on the kitchen you understand but I notice these things!) isn’t it funny how certain models seem to really suit certain colors, Fi Stevens looks really good with blue rope and Amy certainly seems to be a pink kind of girl! Watching the video though a few thoughts came to mind and I was wondering if everyone else was thinking the same.

    For me the music kind of detracted a little from the overall video. Though I have no problem with there being a music backing track, and indeed in the past you have deliberately gone for a music video style video in which a strong background track is kind of the point, in the context of yesterdays video (bound girl struggling to escape) I would have preferred the music track a little quieter in the background such that we could hear her grunting and groaning through her gag as she struggled against her bonds. There was a brief frustrated groan towards the end of the video but the rest of her tussle was lost behind the backing music.

    Another thing, and this is a more general observation/issue, in videos where the model is tied up and you are just filming her struggle I wonder if there ought to be more context or some progression throughout the video. In yesterdays example Amy struggled for 5 minutes and got nowhere. In fairness the ropes did look as though she wasn’t going to be getting out anytime soon and watching the video I suspect Amy realized this quite early – leaving her with the rest of the video to ‘go through the motions’ (sorry). Unfortunately this meant that, but for moving from a lying to a seated position, nothing really happened in the video and by the end I was beginning to want a little more. Could you in future when going for this sort of (non-story lead?) video either introduce some challenge (I remember Louise trying to eat a banana whilst hogtied) or give the model a bit of a start when it comes to making good their escape (perhaps the one accessible rope idea you have used in the past?).

    Anyone got any thoughts on this?

    Videos are just better with good, clear struggling noises! Sound is if anything more important than picture in getting across what’s happening, plus the struggling noises are sexy!

    We have to fess up- if the music is overpowering the struggling noises, it probably means we cocked up recording the clip and the sound is unusable for some reason. Steve (who edited this video) just didn’t have enough “mmmph!” noises to work with. After this shoot I think we’re much more aware of the possible reasons for the lack of good sound and we will do better next time around. There’s a couple of other clips of Amy with the same problems to come 🙁 but at least she *looks* great! 🙂

    Cheers, Hywel.
