Hello to everyone π I’m sorry for being so very absent again, I’ve been touring Scotland in my little red car, doing photoshoots and not managing to get online π
I also missed Kate’s chat – I’m really sorry, Kate, I’d have loved to be there but glad it went well and that you got cake….
I’ll try to catch up properly over the next couple of days, thanks to everyone who’s posted anything to do with me, and sorry for not responding earlier…
I had a lovely welcome back to England by doing a shoot with Steve and Hywel at the studio yesterday. It was very very nice to be working for RE again, and WHEEEEE! We did a suspension version of the same tie that Steve created last time he shot for RE with me. It was SUPER and I hope you like it when it arrives on the site π
Happy Easter to everyone!

Happy Easter to all!March 23, 2008 at 00:13 #13112Great to have you back Ariel. That’s a very interesting suspension tie, what a way to meditate!
March 23, 2008 at 21:01 #13113That suspension looks wounderful!
March 23, 2008 at 23:02 #13114Thank you, Pling, thank you Fogane! Was such a lovely suspension, and felt like an extra-painful yoga class π

OMG! Ariel, u r THE one! You did a wonderful reverse prayer w/ these hemp ropes. Please do more of these…I know they r painful but look lovely! Thanks again! U r THE best model I’ve ever seen especially when doing reverse prayer!
March 24, 2008 at 15:30 #13116Hi Ariel!
What an absolutely *gorgeous* suspension – well done, you (and Hywel and Steve)!
Your hair looks lovely too – it has really grown!

March 24, 2008 at 19:53 #13117Arr Γ’β¬β thanks KateΓ’β¬Β¦
What a welcome back present for Ariel! IsnΓ’β¬β’t she just the best bondage model in the world! :jumping
This one was especially hard, as it had to be rigged in such a way to keep Ariel upright without her accidentally swinging forwards or backwards, so well done Hywel for a superbly ingenious suspension. :notworthy

March 26, 2008 at 10:28 #13118The set should be entitled “Queen Ariel on her throne”.
March 28, 2008 at 02:06 #13119Welcome back Ariel π
*looks much more closely at the pictures* on an initial glance I had simply assumed you were sitting on the floor. Your posture is so upright, and you look so level…
To be suspended in a position like that… *stunned silence* that is some very impressive rope work!!!
March 28, 2008 at 10:05 #13120… which raises a bugbear of mine. It can be really difficult to convey that a suspension really is a suspension, sometimes!
Memo to self… the best way seemed to be to get the reflection of the hairlight on the floor underneath. Shadows on the floor look OK too but on a dark background and with nice glamour light on Ariel that wasn’t going to work.
Hywel.
March 28, 2008 at 22:23 #13121The “obvious” solution is to place something under the suspended model. I started thinking in terms of what you see in a magic act, with a ring being passed over the floating woman to show that she is floating, and that there are no wires.
Clearly passing a ring over the model is hardly the look you are going for here, but perhaps put something under her, some form of low stool, perhaps something nice and polished in wood?
It would need to be elegant, match the scene, and obviously not be to sharp or heavy, so there is no major risk to having a model hanging over it it (sharp) and it is quick to get out of the way (not heavy).
This relies on the idea of shadows from the model falling on this item, or perhaps just mere perspective.

I would say Airel had the easy part here but know better. Inside the ropes is not my thing but I have several unplesant memories of parachute harnesses. Anyone who has never jumped an unsleved canopy doesn’t know the half of it.

I haven’t edited the pics yet. I’ll try to do that for August’s updates (July’s are all scheduled already).
Cheers, Hywel
