Hi All
In parallel to the other poll going on in here (barefoot or not) I thought it might be intersting who we all thought had the best feet on RE at the moment. Until a year ago or so Jasmine Sinclair would, I’m sure, have definitely won such a poll but their has been a whole raft of models arrive of late with very nice feet.
For the record I was torn between Paige, Roxanne and Jasmine Sinclair and finally settled on Roxanne.

I’d have to say after seeing Roxanne’s last set in the gold thong that she has the best of everything!
If Hywel has anything else in the vaults that Roxanne has done I hope he puts it out ASAP. :surprised

You’re gonna have to help me out here fellas. I’m pretty sure I’m one of a minority here but I generally think feet are just for walking on, dancing on at best. Thats not to say I can’t appreciate a pretty foot but only in the same way as any other piece of the female form in so much as it is generally prettier and less industrial that what I see in the mirror..
My appreciation falls over when you start comparing one foot against another, what should I be looking for here? I mean what makes one foot nicer than another??
someone help me to see this will ya.. educate me.

I may not be the best person to reply to your question, but I’ll try. First, I’ll let you know that I’m not a foot lover per say. I have more of an appreciation for women’s legs. As far as the feet go, I can take ’em or leave ’em. With that being said I have gotten to the point that I can enjoy women’s feet (such as during one of Hywel’s photosets). As far as telling why I find one more attractive than another, I can’t. Some just “seem” nicer to me than others. I voted for Roxanne simply because her feet were attached to the rest of her. She’s bloody perfect.

I don’t think this is something I have ever actually really thought about. First off let me just say that we, of course, all have different things that turn us on about the opposite sex (some men go for boobs, some for legs, I have a thing for feet – though the other stuff is of course of some interest to me as well!). Personally I don’t get the HUGE boobs thing (UK readers – I refer to Jordan and co) but clearly there are guys out there for whom that’s their thing (else those models would not inflate them to that size!) it’s just that I am not seeing what they are in them. What I am trying to say is that I can completely see how you non-foot guys must struggle to see what us foot-guys see in women’s feet just as I may struggle to see what other guys see in their particular ‘thing’.
That said – what for me makes a ‘good’ foot? In many ways for me the easier answer is what doesn’t. Clearly many feet, my own included, are far from beautiful. Whilst there must be a (very) niche market for bunioned, fungal feet this for me (and surely most) is a HUGE turn-off. Likewise too much hard skin on the heels and ball of the foot is not always very attractive. So good-conditioned, smooth feet is an absolute must for me (as it has already been mentioned in this thread the recent Roxanne set frogtied on the bed with the gold underwear is a fantastic example of a model with feet in really good nick). Aside from this (condition) I guess for most of us foot-guys it is just a personal preference thing about the size and shape of a womans foot. In my original reply I went into great depth about the individual characteristics I look for but these all really come back to the same thing – I go for feminine-looking feet. For example I tend to prefer smaller rather than larger feet (slightly discriminatory against taller models there – though Ariels are OK – there are guys in the various foot-fetish forums on the internet who prefer larger feet). Larger models with larger feet tend to have long toes (else they’d fall over) but this tends to make their feet look a little manly whereas there is no mistaking the petite feminine feet of a shorter model. An additional turn-off is the sometimes irregular spacing between womens toes (presumably the result of dodgy shoes!) and a toe occasionally longer than its two neighbours that kind of ruins the aesthetic beauty of the foot.
Belle has actually got quite nice feet (short podgy toes) though occasionally hard skin around the balls and heels of her feet are a little off putting. Check out sets from Paige, Roxanne, Fi Stevens or Jasmine Sinclair for good examples of beautifully smooth well-shaped feet in great condition (can’t help but feel this is beginning to sound like the UK dog show Crufts though this is unintentional “she has bright eyes and a fantastically wagging tail!!â€
I voted for Roxanne simply because her feet were attached to the rest of her.
Something missing from my post rightly spotted by tiedlegs – it is occasionally off-putting when the models feet are detached from the rest of her body though thankfully rarely seen. :singhappy

Doubt I’ll ever fully develop a raging foot fetish but I can see where you guys are coming from. Had a similar post-beer conversation the other night in which I kinda realised I think I’m developing an appreciation for hair, over t&a, or feet. Or in “crufts” terms, I do like a nice glossy coat! 😀
Its perhaps worth mentioning that a “sexy” pair of shoes is also an effective bondage tool. I’m sure all girls are slower in heels than barefoot, a couple of years ago I learnt a valuable lesson as a Dom after restraining Jo standing strappado in a garage for a while. I didn’t even notice what shoes she’d put on (Imelda Marcos eat your heart out..) when I returned she was clearly more distressed than I had intended, (obviously shouldn’t have been out of earshot.. 🙁 baaad Dom ) I immediately assumed her shoulders or circulation were the problem. Nope, it was purely the shoes. Am I the only guy who can see the sexyness in mad shoes but finds himself thinking – damn I’m glad I don’t have to wear those!
Of course as more of a leg man I can appreciate the physical look a pair of heels produces in legs, bugs me a bit that barefoot models always have to point their feet unnaturally.. Nice to see some stockings and shoes in the previews from France, there’s a shot of a stocking clad Ariel on a bed with her feet out of view, here’s hoping there’s shoes on the end of those endless pins.. :p

I agree with CD as to what makes a “good foot”. I can’t explain in mm and inches, but something about the overall proportions of a petite woman’s foot just look aesthetically pleasing, sexy, and “right” to me. I guess a particularly beautiful female foot is one that you could never imagine for an instant belongs to a bloke LOL :alien
It is a bit like asking what makes a “good” bum or pair of legs or face or pair of eyes or pair of breasts or nice hair… it also has a hell of a lot to do with how it all fits together and how the lady “uses what she’s got”. Even girls who don’t get the foot fetish thing often know how to pose their feet very prettily as part and parcel of knowing how to pose the rest of her.
Imperfections and hard skin are not good… soft skin and pretty toes all in proportion with no long bony horrible ones are nice. Beyond that, it is how a super-sexy model like Jasmine or Paige moves that makes all the difference. One of the defining talents of a really great model is knowing how to show herself off to best effect- Jasmine instinctively goes up onto tiptoes all the time (even off-set) but when she’s posing she turns her leg just-so and her ankle just-that-much and shows off just-the-right amount of her arch and instep… whilst also posing her ever-so-sexy legs just so and her cute little bum exactly right and her gorgeous curves at precisely the right angle… then she makes searing, sensual, electric eye contact and you nearly drop the camera.
And most of the other girls nominated by CD have that same knack. A combination of natural grace and perfect poise which makes the whole so very much greater than any statistical analysis of the sum of the parts.
What I do find interesting is that if asked to come up with the names of ten models with particularly nice feet, I think I’d probably have come up with more or less the same list as CD (I’d have been tempted to put Charisma Cole and Andrea Neal in there somewhere too but I don’t know who I’d have crossed off to make room for them!) It isn’t that the other gorgeous models I’ve been lucky enough to work with have ugly feet or anything… we are talking shades of excellence here LOL!!
There have been one or two models I’ve shot with really ugly feet. Their sets may not even have gone up on the site- and that’s probably due to a much more general inability to pose in front of the camera than anything specific.

I am in Ariels court on this one. I love Jasmines feet but Ariel has a high arch longer and narrow. Long toes that acent a beautiful wrinkled sole when they are pointed. Jasmines foot is smaller and has a very nice high arch, but is also wider.

Sorry to say that Ariel does not have feet that do it for me, and I would go so far to say ugly feet… Sorry to say that Ariel, but the rest of you make up for this ia BIG way 🙂 However in a set i saw for modelstied.com the stockings actually accentuated your feet and they looked very sexy. This goes to prove the argument of barefoot vs stockings. If I am allowed to post a picture here copyrighted to modelstied.com I would – Hywel – could you confirm?
If this site was Restrained Slavegirls, then I could agree with the argument for barefoot – however it’s Restrained Elegance and the epitome of elegance is stockings and high heels/strappy shoes in my books – elegant dress and elegent accessories coupled with a lovely pair of legs in nice silk or nylon.
On a plus note I am very encouraged by the latest updates with the stockings/holdups – please keep them coming.

It probably isn’t permitted to post Modelstied pics here. I don’t mind, but the copyright holder of the pics would probably object to them being posted on another site’s forum!
I know I can’t please everyone all the time with the barefoot vs. stockings vs. shoes. My own preference is for barefoot, so the majority of the photosets here are always going to be barefoot. But I like stockings too- especially the more see-through variety in white and black. We have a fair number of stockings sets coming up in January. Shoes I like less, so although there will be sets with shoes, they will be in the minority and often the shoes will come off part way through the set.
Ultimately I’m always going to want to shoot what interests me the most- I’m not “chasing the market” or trying to cater to everyone. It is the same with the mix of metal bondage and rope bondage- I like both, so I’ll do both. I’m not so keen on things like tape bondage or cling film/saran wrap bondage, but they are fun to do for something different so I’ll do them from time to time when I feel in the mood. Same with stockings and shoes (but not socks!! Yuch! :lick ) Fun to do, and can be very elegant and sexy, so I’ll do that when the mood takes me 🙂

Sounds good to me – but then I share a lot of your preferences :cheers , enough that I can tamp down my disappointment when you post the occasional set that highlights where our preferences differ.
OTOH, any site has to be a package deal, and I can see how some of the other members here get frustrated if they really like some aspects of the Restrained Elegance package but don’t care for some of the other parts. I’ve had the experience myself, on more than one site, of “This site does a really great X and I really like X – but I wish the site owner would also do more Y and not so damn much Z.”
Yeh, any site does have to be a package deal… I’ve always figured that if you like most of what’s on Restrained Elegance, it is worth being a member, but if you only like some of the sets, you can buy them individually from the photo store. I know the photo store is quite an expensive option compared with membership, that’s because I have to set the prices just above the threshold where VISA/MasterCard charge stupid commissions of 50% and up 🙁
I had the luxury of starting RE purely as a hobby (the site was only launched to pay for these expensive models and buy camera gear). So from the very start it has been based around what I want to do. I honestly don’t know if I could make more money by shooting something different- very probably, but I don’t really care. I do get complaints that the site isn’t focussed enough on someone else’s particular fantasy, whether that be shoes or boots or metal bondage or handcuffs. Maybe if I was starting from scratch with a business head on my shoulders I would launch five sites, each weekly updating, for some of the main interests on RE rather than have one big site. But then it would still not provide the mix people wanted- if someone wants stockings and metal bondage, do they join the stocking bondage site or the metal bondage one, or both, or (most likely) neither?
At least with RE there’s always a new set tomorrow and something from the archives so if today’s wasn’t exactly what you wanted maybe tomorrow’s will be. I guess if the fraction of “hits” is high enough, people will stay as members, and if it isn’t, they won’t. Which brings me back to the start and the photo store.
I know that the photo store is not particularly well organised at the moment- you can’t search for all stocking sets or all barefoot sets or all handcuff sets, for example. One of the major projects for the first few months of 2007 is to bring it up to scratch, and hopefully I can use the lessons learned to add searches on the members’ area too at some point.

I do believe you do a good job of mixing the styles (clothes, bondage, models) for so many tastes. I am a handcuff guy. Last year you ran a poll where about 15% of the members wanted handcuffs. So as far as I am concerned, as long as you have 15% of your sets with what I want to see, that is fair enough. The high quality is also a factor.
In regards to this particular poll, the only time I look at a model’s feet is to see if she is shackled. :laugh:
