Bugger.
All is not well at the RE house- we were burgled last night. Proper stealthy, too- we think they came in while we were upstairs. They may have had a key. Waiting for police & SOCO to arrive, then got to go through whole rigmarole of changing all the locks etc. especially as if they didn’t have keys before, they definitely do now 🙁
The bastards only took some of Ariel’s things, which were all in one small part of the house. Could have been worse, I suppose, but still pretty freaky and scary that they came in and stole a lot of stuff while we were actually here.
May not be answering emails etc as quickly as usual while we get all this sorted out.

Police have been very helpful, we’re sorting it all out, have recovered some items which had been discarded, a bunch of hoops to jump through but hopefully insurance will cover a fair bit of it, and we think we know how they got in and have definitely closed that loophole… security companies coming to quote for motion sensing alarms today… bit of a rigmarole but probably worth it.

Well, that sucks. I guess the only consolation is that it could have been worse. All the best to you regardless, and hope everything works out.
Thank you everyone. I’m indulging in (unusually domly) fantasies about performing a citizens arrest on the burglar and telling him off while waiting for the police to arrive. It does feel annoying that we have a house full of restraint equipment, but didn’t get to use it on the VERY BAD MAN.
I’m all for having a mousetrap-style cage fitted above the front door from now on.
Whoop! At least they didn’t steal any of our ropes or gags. In future I’ll be leaving the bloody black strap from Long Term Bondage downstairs, nice and near the door, along with the rubber bands from Ariel’s Foot Torture Day.

although I’m peeing myself laughing at the thought of some chavvy little git sneaking around in the dark and stumbling into a cage, whips, chains and rope etc 😯 😯

I have an idea. Why don’t you use this for a video/photoshoot.
Imagine a female cat burglar, or maybe two of them, dressed in skintight black breaking into the studio.
You capture them and punish them.
Burglar: “Please stop, please just call the police, whats that…noooo”
Ariel: ” Police, we won’t be calling the police (evil laugh), I own you now”

What about Ariel as one of the Burgulars……. (as for the other there are too many nice ones to choose from)
Chanta Rose or another as the person who captures them….
Then again i suppose it would be giving credit to the burgulars so maybe not a good idea after all
I’m really sorry to hear about this. I know it’s not so much the things you lost so much as the feeling of being violated. And not at all in a good way.
Here’s hoping they catch the guy(s). Especially before they can hit anyone else.
