Hi All,
I can’t resist, I’m bursting with excitement! My favourite Bondage artist, Brian Tarsis, has been collaborating with me to develop a new bondage graphic novel for Restrained Elegance. Brian has just put the finishing touches to the cover illustration, so here’s a teaser of the shape of things to come:
Brian is now working on the first few pages- the plan is to release them as we complete them so you can see the story build up over the coming months. I’m really excited at having the chance to see some of my ideas brought to life by my favourite artist in this way- hope you share my excitment!

Seriously though, I confess I don’t know much about the whole illustrated bondage novel thing. I (perhaps nievely) assume the hayday of such things would be the 80’s? and given I was born of the 70’s its pretty much passed me by in this day of streaming media and interactive dvd’s. Looks interesting though and I’m very much looking forward to learning more. For instance, is the illustration element of comic book magnitude with just text linking, or are the illustrations used to punctuate certain key scenes from a more conventional novel prose.

To be honest… not 100% sure ourselves yet.
The basic plan is to have a series of illustrations to show the storyline, accompanied by a traditional text story. How exactly that is going to work out I think will only become clear as we actually get into the story, but I’m certainly aiming for a page per scene rather than a page per chapter of text if you see what I mean?
