if I were to see the dark pictures from Danielle Maye’s latest at the Tate Gallery, i’d be impressed with the artistic camera work
for this site, not so much… but I did find that if you can adjust the brightness way up and the contrast way down, you can see what’s going on 😈I sometimes like to experiment with very stark lighting.
I’m conscious that that doesn’t let you see everything. Which is why I try to shoot a goodly fraction of the set with more light before turning off all but one for the stark stuff, as I did here. Hopefully there’s still a set’s worth even if you consider the really dark too artistic for your tastes 🙂
