Hello everyone! Alas, the forum has gone quiet; probably my fault, I’m going to America next week for my very favourite combination of high fashion and bondage work (for 3 weeks! Hoorah!) so I’ve been spending my time ironing clothes (ever tried ironing lingerie? MISERY!) and emailing people to make sure I can find their studios…..
But before I go I’d love to hear peoples thoughts on doms and dommes…. On Restrained Elegance, when anyone else appears in the set, it’s normally Hywel in Dom mode (I just watched one of the videos and hardly recognised him, he was being MEAN!) or one of the models being a Domme. I’m all for doms/dommes appearing in the videos/photosets; it often adds more drama and makes it easier to tell a convincing story. I just wondered what you all prefer? Does it spoil things to suddenly have a great big man appearing in the pictures? Do you prefer a sexily dressed lady doing the dominating? Would you like to see muscle bound hunks appearing (I’ve found one, I’m very keen!)? Or do you mostly prefer sets where the poor tied up model is all alone?

My second choice would be for a guy to do the dominating (big & hunky a plus, but not necessary), with another lady doing the dominating being my third choice.

Hello Lurker and Merlin, lovely to hear from you. I wonder if your view of having poor tied up lady all alone in the picture is typical of everyone’s view? Personally, I do enjoy being all by myself sometimes; then the camera kind of becomes the Dom, which is all interesting…. But I do rather enjoy Hywel in sadist mode, I especially like him in office scenarios (loved shooting ‘The Worst Secretary’…) and I like the idea of inviting random Doms onto RE Nights shoots, just to see what happens 🙂 Although that’s probably not particularly safe – maybe just my favourite Doms…. Hmm, once there was a boy I knew called Dom, I didn’t like him at all, he laughed at my legs…..

I said before that seeing a Dom(me) in a scene isn’t my first preference but I didn’y know why. After a day or two of debate here’s a half arsed theory.. I realised ages ago that when looking at an image of a sub other subs are mentally putting him/herself into the position of the sub in the image, whereas Doms tend to mentally out themself into the scenerio in the opposite capacity. Now if theres no dom in the scene then this is easy to do but should there be a hunkier guy than me doing a better job than I could (I guess it could happen… :smoke2 ) then I’m kinda excluded from the fantasy to some extent, fantasy being what this is all about right? Still, as someone said before, variety is one of the most important factors and despite the above I’d like to see some other dom(mes), just not all the time..
Made me laugh with “I do rather enjoy Hywel in sadist mode”, I was quite impressed too, am I the only one who thinks Hywel had been wanting to do that for years.. heheh , you can pretty much see the point in the previous video where you think “f**k!, I’ve unleashed a monster!” :). When do we see the next installment?

Well, not pants, exactly, Merlin, the lingerie in question that was giving me particular misery was aqua silk camisole – does that help a little? I was really interested in your explanation as to why you like models to be alone quite often; I totally agree with the feeling of being excluded from the fantasy when there multiple players in a scene… Some of the first good bondage/SM erotica I ever saw basically had women alone in the frame, with just the hands, feet, and occasionally back views of a Dom in the picture. I loved that sort of ‘everyman’ thing – you could imagine him to be anyone, and I guess if you’re a Dom then you could imagine him to be you…

Nice to hear from you again. I’ve arrived in LA, and will be working with Jon Woods, Lorelei (hmm, not sure if this is spelt right) FM Concepts, and someone in Vegas who’s name escapes me for now. And someone in Pheonix, but that’s also too far away for me to actually be able to deal with at the moment….. Am having a lovely time, spent today doing fashion (cream coloured knitted stuff, if anyone cares…) but looking forward to bondage tomorrow! It never feels like work….

Hmmm, things are looking up, today I modelled a Mexican blanket… Sorry for my slow response, I’ve been on the road in ArizonaMexico for the last week and its been a bit of a challenge to get online.
Bondage shoots have been great fun, I worked with someone last week who let me make up my own rigging idea. Hmm, I got a bit over excited, made up a tie that was too difficult, and was sick. Pretty impressive, I think you’ll agree 🙁 But it was a beautiful tie, for a little while….
Am so sorry to have missed the 5 year anniversary of Restrained Elegance, I wonder if Hywel got locked in the cage? Grr, now I have to go and do some work, but looking forward so much to getting home, I’ve got a RE Nights shoot next week 🙂

LOL the anniversary party was quite low-key in the end as lots of people had ‘flu. We watched the rough cut of the film, which went well (and even the people who hadn’t read the script said it made sense, which was good!) I didn’t get shut in the cage or tied up in any way whatsoever! HA! :p :p :p (To quote Homer Simpson “The most important thing is that I didn’t get my comeuppance! NOOOO comeuppance!)
We’d better get our planning hats on for the next RE Nights shoot!
