Hywel’s Jan 29th news mentioned plans for a 2008 “Bondage X Factor.” I’d like to put in a plug for including some ebony models in this (for example Karis White and Lexi Martinez, if you can book them).
And also for some more asian or other ethnic models, if possible.
Do you know I am not sure I really care either way. A beautiful and convincingly submissive model is both beautiful and submissive regardless of her colour. That said it has always struck me as odd that there are not more black and Asian models on the site – I guess it must just be a lack of UK based black or Asian bondage models.

It’s not a big deal, but it’s an aesthetic consideration, roughly on a par with wanting to see brunettes and redheads along with blondes, or wanting to see leather and metal cuffs along with ropework.
I don’t think its just the lack of UK based Black & Asian models, not when I’ve seen such models on other UK based sites, or when Ebony-Bondage.org is a UK-based site. I suspect that it’s more a matter of the biz being based in large part on an informal network of personal connections & recommendations, with people vouching for Hwyel to the models being as important as the other way around.
Which means I might have better luck if I could somehow put in a request to various models that they consider doing a set with RE – but this is the end I have hold of.

Personally, when looking for models for the site, I basically look for models that stand out in some way, show a good emotional range, look ‘elegant’, put themselves across well and generally have some ‘sparkle’. The majority of models on the internet do tend to be quite ‘cookie cutter’ and, of course, we would like our models to be a cut above that. I don’t ever really have a particular hair colour, skin colour, bodyshape or modelling style in mind when searching and I try not to let personal preferences sway me.
In the last huntaround that I did, I found relatively few ethnic models that model up to our limits that would cut the mustard on RE. It may be that, because there are less ebony models around, they dont need to splash themselves around the net so much to find niche work so are therefore harder to find.

That’s largely true, lurker. If you do have some model contacts, getting them to email me would be a good first step. I’m as lazy as the next guy, and if I’ve got 15 models emailing me this week, maybe 5 of whom look like they may be suitable, and I only need to shoot one, I tend to pick from what’s in front of me rather than go out searching.
I did speak to the guy who runs Ebony Bondage a while ago and he said he actually had a lot of trouble getting enough models of a good standard.
