I’m happy to see the occasional “full sized” bonus set (e.g. “Paige Robbins – Secretarial School”)
(I thought I’d mentioned this earlier, but I can’t find it.)
    More please?

Also, how practical would it be to repost the occasional archive set as a “full sized” bonus set?

Did other people like the full-sized bonus sets? This is certainly something I can do more of if people like it.

I’m afraid putting up archive sets in full size is a bit impractical. In my old work-flow the full-sized photoshopped images were not saved (for what seemed like good and sensible reasons back in 2001 when I developed that workflow).

So in order to post the old sets in full size I’d need to reprocess every shot, which would take more time than I have available for archive prep.

The main time sink of running the site is not shooting the sets, it is processing them (and editing the videos). Given that the technical quality of the archive sets is a bit inferior to the modern ones, you’d probably also find that they wouldn’t stand up so well to the closer inspection. Minor technical issues which you just don’t see at 1280×1280 pixels are more obvious at full size. Some could be fixed by yet more work in photoshop, but some are just showing up the limitations of the old camera and lenses and never will have the crispness or quality of the latest images.

My new workflow was designed to include saving the full-size processed pics, so it is a lot easier for new stuff. You still find a few shots with technical issues that can be seen full-size but not really seen at 1280×1280, but on the whole the technical quality is a lot better which also makes life a lot easier. So I think full-size sets will look best for newer stuff anyway.

    Cheers, Hywel.

    Greetings from New Jersey,

I would have to say that I enjoy the full size sets, from time to time. The individual images do not always fit on my monitor screen due both its size and the settings I use so I don’t have to use the reading glasses to read text on the screen (lame as that might be). Therefore, personally, they make a nice occasional extra treat. Obviously with a larger monitor I would certainly be interested in more of the full size sets.

    Cheers,

    Jeff
