    Hi All,

Here are a few previews of updates and archives coming your way in July. Enjoy!

By the way, I will only have patchy web connectivity for the rest of June, so please bear with me if you email me- might take me longer than usual to get back to you.

    Cheers, Hywel.

Very nice! I’m looking forward to that nice selection of handcuff scenes.

That one of Ariel by the shore almost looks unreal. Did it really look that way to the camera, or did you do some post-processing?

What lovely variety – all with your superb photography.
Looks like we are going to get another one from Norway with the wonderful mountain backgrounds. OK, I’m new to the site and the forum so I haven’t seen much yet but “Captured Mermaid” absolutely blew my mind.
Also looks like a couple of sets with the model posed with hands up and apart. In my imagination, that must create a strong feeling of vulnerability for the model.
    Roll on July.

Yes, most definitely! I especially like Paige Ryan handcuffed behind her back to the pole. It looks like she’s wearing two sets of cuffs, one on each side of the pole, to give her hands even less freedom of movement.

A nice and simple, yet completely inescapable pose. She’s completely helpless and vulnerable. Wonderful!

Sorry, forgot to reply to this one.

The skies were very dramatic, but bringing the colours out required a little post-processing. I didn’t do anything too over the top- just pulled up the saturation in the blues, chose a contrasty tone curve, and put a bit of vignette over the image to make sure the stunning detail in the clouds didn’t get burned out.

So no, the raw camera images didn’t look quite like that, but the images rather represent how it FELT above the arctic circle with hailstorms rattling up and down the fjord 🙂 It felt pretty unreal!

    Cheers, Hywel.
