I just watched the 1933 original of King Kong. I was struck by a couple of things:
1) Fay Wray definitely was barefoot on the island, including all her bondage and captivity scenes. And boy, did she look HOT! Yum yum yum hubba hubba!! :lick :lick Kong actually peels her clothes off (though of course leaving her with enough to cover- she does get legs totally bared though)
2) The film had much better pace, style and verve than the recent Peter Jackson re-make. It’s much more dramatic- amazingly so, given that it was made over 70 years ago! OK so the dialogue does feel pretty stilted, and the Jack Darrow character is a real macho idiot of the very worst sort… Carl Denham is much less of a slimy git in the original than in the remake though.
Ariel and I are muttering about doing a “King Kong style” bondage scene at our next shoot. We’re limited to the studio for this one so it may be only vaguely King Kong style… I’m looking at hiring a location in Spain later in the year though so maybe we could do something outside then?
What do you think? Should we go for Ariel as Fay Wray? 🙂

Given Ariel’s taste for strange outfits (knitted woollens for example!), why not go the whole hog and get Ariel dressed up as King Kong (or should that be Queen Kong?) :grinning
Now that would be different!
Cheers TmTApril 18, 2006 at 14:24 #11501Hi all
Cheers Tighter, I sooo needed a good laugh, having a boring day and for some reason the thought of Ariel in a monkey suit is about the funniest thing I can think of right now 😀
Sorry Hywel, seen neither film but a bid of DiD is always a good thing. Always nice to see an outdoor set, Spain or otherwise. Can I assume you’re thinking pair of parallel vertical posts with chunky rope to the top etc?
Hey Ariel, had to smile during the recently posted vid of you taking over Belles Corner, after your open criticissm of Hywel’s Dom technique you basically completely got away with it.. I’m guessing that surprised you as well?… 🙂
Regards

April 18, 2006 at 20:04 #11502YOU ARE ALL VERY RUDE! I AM NOT GOING TO DRESS LIKE A MONKEY! :suspect
Hello, Merlin; yes, I was VERY surprised to get away with all that rudeness while I was in Belle’s Corner, and I still got cake! I can only assume that compared to Belle, no behaviour seems all that bad to Hywel… But I’ve got our first multi-scene RE Nights shoot on Friday, so we’ll see….
I’m very excited about it; I think that the ‘King Kong without the monkey’ thing should be cool – I’m thinking of chains, big metal shackles, and clothes being ripped off 🙂 Other than that, we’ll be trying to work on some members requests, including a ballerina in bondage – hooray, I like this idea!

Isn’t King Kong a gorilla not a monkey?
I think for that basic mistake Ariel’s predicament should be that little bit harder – maybe a strappado could be thrown in to the mix when tied up to the spreader bar? After all, it seems like Ariel likes a good challenge! :devil
Cheers TmTApril 19, 2006 at 08:20 #11504King Kong is indeed a gorilla.
What with that mistake, plus the criticism of my dominating style, plus all the smart-arse comments on the fourm, plus a particularly rude and stuck-up comment that I don’t think I will even tell you about here, Ariel is really in for it at the shoot! :devil :devil :devil

April 19, 2006 at 10:25 #11505Three cheers for the Doc! :notworthy
We don’t want models getting uppity, and thinking they run the show!
Can’t wait to see what fiendish things Doc has lined up for Ariel for being so cheeky! :twirl :singhappy :jumping
TmTApril 19, 2006 at 12:21 #11506Sorry Ariel, the thought of you as Kong kinda made me laugh all day yesterday, there were times I couldn’t use the phone.. 🙂 BTW, congrats upon becoming a homeowner, (lets hope the walls are nice and thick and soundproof hehe).
Question to anyone. Just booking a dirty weekend in NYC, probably very vanilla but I’ll take a few choice props anyway… has anybody ever taken steel cuffs through an airport baggage scanner? Had a bit of a run in with the vanilla world quite recently and am not keen to repeat it.
Look forward to seeing the results of Fridays shoot. Good look Ariel (mwwhahahah..)
Cheers.

April 19, 2006 at 14:03 #11507Hi,
Yeh I took steel handcuffs, ropes, ballgags etc on a flight to NYC for BondCon a couple of years ago (along with a ton of photo lighting, stands, backdrops etc.). I had no problems, even though this was post-9/11. It was all in my hold baggage though, I don’t think I would put it in hand luggage if I were you!
Cheers, Hywel.
April 19, 2006 at 18:41 #11508Oh, Hywel; forum is spelt f o r u m, not fourm…. :singhappy
See you Friday!
And hello Merlin (hmmm, thanks for your support, tighter!!) I took handcuffs in my hold baggage to LA, and it was all fine… But I brought a bullwhip back from Arizona, which mysteriously disappeared during the journey…. Very strange 🙁
April 19, 2006 at 22:09 #11509After some absence (got a job – hooray!!!) I am back (hooray again? – someone?).
Will probably post a bit more at the weekend, just popped in to say hi to all the regulars – and thanks for the laugh re. Ariel and the gorilla suit.
I got the Peter Jackson version of King Kong on DVD the other week (I did see it at the cinema and think I was the first to raise the topic in the forum) and though perhaps a bit over long (it was a must-see following the lord of the rings trilogy – am still having impure thoughts of Liv tyler as the frequently barefoot Arwen – why did Tolkien not throw in a bondage scene??) I am still loving the Naomi Watts sacrifice scenes. Can’t wait to see the RE interpretation of the scene.
Regarding the Bullwhip – perhaps it was confiscated as a potential weapon, though it does raise the entertaining prospect of some lunatic passeger trying to take over a plane with a bullwhip.
Hope you are all well. I will be back. Again.

April 21, 2006 at 09:21 #11510Hi all.
Thanks for the travel tips, think I’ll risk it.
BULLWHIP!!! omg is it possible somebody recognised you at the airport and removed it for your own safety 🙂
Hi Cav, I wondered where you’d gone.. congrats on the job.
I always find a useful domination trick is to deliberately make a mistake that a poorly disciplined Sub could pick up on, such as not closing a padlock correctly. F-o-u-r-m ? said the spider to the fly.. an accident Doc?? or am I just embarassingly devious :devil
Regards all.
