We all have different tastes, so I doubt mine will sway you, but ribbon cleave gags are rather like chocolate teapots: once the novelty has worn off, they just don’t work. There is also an excellent panel gag one sees all too infrequently these days, with straps that run from the bottom corners of the panel and cross under the chin, to buckle behind the head.
