Fabulous – if still very chilly looking – shots!! What an amazing and unique setting!

I adore the shot of Ariel nude on the rock against the snowy mountains and blue, blue sky with the dudey leg rigging. And love the expression on Katy’s face with the really cool turquoise elbows together tie.

Great work to all – now go have a nice cup of cocoa and relax! 🙂

Hi Everyone,

Well I trust Ariel, Katy, Steve and Hywel that you have all thawed out by this point. Pity you didn’t get the amount of “golden light” you had hoped for going so far north but looks like you all did a wonderful job under some rather harsh conditions. Obviously a big thanks to all and particularly the ladies for enduring the cold temperatures for all of us. I’m sure the finished sets will be amazing.

I’ve always been a big fan of the outdoor shots RE does and the backgrounds on a couple of these look fantastic. Of course the bondage in the foreground isn’t bad either. And I always like the behind the scenes shots as well. The last example photo is a classic of this. Take just the left hand half of the photo and you have a classic damsel in distress shot with Ariel looking fairly deep in character on the rocks at the waters edge. But take the whole scene with Ariel on one side and Katy and Steve just hanging out on the other and the juxtaposition becomes almost a little humorous, in a good way.

I have to agree with Kate on the shots with Katy and the turquoise elbow tie and with Ariel nude on the rock. Particularly stunning background on that shot with Ariel between the deep blue sky, the snowy rocks and the different colors of the water. I also liked the photo of Ariel in the white dress with her arms in the box tie. Given the Norway setting one could easily imagine a Norse Saga about a soon to be Valkyrie awaiting the arrival of Odin.

Ah, the homeland! Where exactly did you travel? I’m guessing somewhere along the Helgeland coast in Nordland?

The pictures, as always, are rocking. Especially for me, since – y’know – I live here.

If another trip ever comes up, you should try the Lofoten islands in autumn (after September), when the light is nothing short of spectacular. It’s called the Blue Hour (den blå timen), and you could probably do awesome things with it. Having been there a couple of times, I can vouch for its awesomeness. Of course, by this time of the year the midnight sun is a thing of the past, so there’s that to consider…
