I am writing to suggest as a topic for future videos a step by step guide to applying rope bondage. My skill level is just above hopeless!!One of the main difficulties is caused by panic as I always think that the girl must be getting bored if I take too long. Also there is the problem of how much rope to use

either I ve got yards of it all over the place or not enough to finish with some neat knots. For these reasons we tend to revert back to a collar and cuffs which have the advantage in that it is easy to change postions quickly and they do look good instantly.

Some of you may remember the classic House of Milan (HOM) magazines which were around in the 70’s.I have to admit to having rather a large collection of them! Quite often they would feature stringent breast bondage with really lovely models but try as I may I’m finding it impossible to replicate. The secret seems to be that you have to apply an initial tight binding around each side from which more rope can then be applied—so far so good but whenever I appear to be making progress the girl breathes out or moves at the wrong moment and the whole lot pops off.

So Hywel, could you consider running a video series to let us mere mortals share the secrets of how you produce such wonderful bondage .

Thanks for your superb site Chrina

    Hi,

Yes, this is absolutely something we plan to do. Nag me about it and we’ll get on to it!

    Cheers, Hywel.

Oh, great; I think we’re going to have a go at this soon! I’m totally in sympathy with you, Chrina, about getting panicky while applying rope bondage – I’m often worried that the models will be getting bored or uncomfortable, because I know I’m still a fairly slow rigger.

From my own experience of being tied up, I must say that I’ve never felt bored – being the focus of someone’s attention makes it fun, even if it’s really slow. But I still get worried when I’m rigging.

We rely on chest harnesses quite a lot for anchoring breast bondage, because they’re so secure and can’t slide anywhere. I’ve always kind of assumed you need a model with exactly the right type of breasts to make the rope stay on if you’re doing breast bondage without a chest harness to anchor it to – alas, mine aren’t the right type, for sure! And if I can’t learn things on myself, I always get worried because I don’t know what it’ll feel like for the model. But like you, I’ve seen some amazing breast bondage. I’ll have a go and see if the ropes will stay on with the right model 🙂

    Dear Ariel

Thank you so much for your response to my request for a Rope Tutorial.Knowing that you have similar misgivings has boosted my confidence greatly! Come to think of it I can’t ever recall receiving any complaints and as you say usually the tying up process is fun.My problem is that I get nervous when the tie is not going to plan–I put myself under maybe undue pressure to go quickly and thats when things fall apart.Hence my request to Hywel to produce a video guide. He has suggested that I keep nagging him but I’m sure your influence would be much greater! Please will you agree to be the model.I ve been doing a lot of black and white photography recently and I love the sets of you shot in that medium.I concede that perhaps you wouldn’t be the ultimate model for breast tying but in all other respects you are my dream subject!! Thanks for all you do to make bondage so enjoyable.

    Kind regards

    Chrina

I’m another one interested in seeing a rope-bondage tutorial.

Also, those photography tutorials you semi-promised back in July 2010, to “cover the details of apertures, ISOs, f-stops, lighting ratios and all that…”

How frequently should we nag you about it?

    #16282

Consider me nagged, we’ve got the first rope tutorial video shoot scheduled for a couple of weeks’ time. It may be some months after that that the edited version finally appears (depends how tricky it turns out to be to edit it, but will surely be an excellent learning experience). When we’ve shot one or two and got the technique of shooting them to our satisfaction we’ll start turning the handle and releasing a series on rope technique, photo technique, video techniques, etc.

    Cheers, Hywel.

Actually this touches on something I’d interested in. Virtually all the chest harnesses I’ve seen rely on the breasts to anchor. Is there anything you know of or could show us that could work for a chest harness without using the breasts as an anchor? I’d love to be able to use a chest harness as a hogtie anchor, but it’s impossible in my current situation.

Definitely looking forward to the tutorials!

We just shot our first tutorial yesterday. Ahhh, it was super fun, Hywel and I had a go at co-presenting, and I felt like Holly Willoughby on ‘Dancing on Ice’ (sorry to non UK people; Holly Willoughby co-presents one of the UK’s prime time TV shows, but hardly gets to speak at all for some reason. I assume it’s because Philip Schofield is secretly in charge of the world.)

I hope it’ll be useful when it arrives on the site; from watching bits of it back, it definitely seems easier to follow than trying to learn from still photographs in a book.

Hello Lionofthenorth; I wonder if any of the chest harnesses that tie exclusively above the breast (but below the armpits) would work? I’ll see if I can find a picture of what I mean 🙂

Hello. I have only been a member for a week. I am really looking forward to the rope tutorials because some of my favourite videos are the ones in which Chanta Rose explains the rigging in great detail. Her book is indeed lovely (on pages 74 and 75 she shows a variation of the chest harness which works for a man).

    Greetings from New Jersey,

I hope everyone is doing well.

I’ll also be looking forward seeing a couple of tutorial videos. I’ve enjoyed the previous ones and have gotten some solid pointers out of both the tutorials that Hywel has done as well as the behind the scenes rigging videos that have featured Chata doing the rigging.

I’m sure they will be worth the wait.

    Cheers and all the best,

    Jeff

    Hywel,

can I add my support to the requests for tutorials – you must be feeling well-nagged now – but I hope that you take it as a compliment that we all want to learn your secrets!

Whilst we we patiently for the new stuff, iirc there was a video of of Jasmine Sinclair being hogtied by you on screen that I learnt lots from at the time but have sadly since lost. Any chance of a re-up?

totally agree with chrina, i love the ropework styles at restrained elegance & wish we could practice them on our partners 🙂

since we’re on the subject, i would like to make a request for a tutorial based on one of Ruby’s sets where she has her hands crossed behind her head (see attached image). it will be awesome if Hywel could do it, thanks! 🙂
