As we’ve been discussing next year’s shoots; Hywel and I have found ourselves saying ‘…like that hot scene in…(insert mainstream film here….)…; we could do something like that!’ And I realised that I haven’t thought like that for years.
Before I discovered BDSM on the internet and started doing bondage modelling, I had a list of hot films whih I’d watch over and over again. Most of them would only contain one hot scene, or maybe only a hot couple of shots, but they were immensely powerful to me, and have influenced my kink to a great extent. So I wondered what everyone else’s hottest mainstream films have been? And I’d love to know if anyone had similar reactions to some of mine.
My favourites include;-
Helena Bonham Carter in ‘Lady Jane’. Sadly, she’s being birched by her mother, which isn’t my kink, but her reactions are so truthful and super that I don’t really mind. And the King comes and rescues her in the end, which I absolutely love, what with my taste for grandiosity.

Sorry, it’s a man being whipped, which probably doesn’t appeal to many other people here, but it’s also a man DOING the whipping, which means it still falls into my kink. I love the gag, the uniforms, the super technology of the whipping frame, and the clandestine kindness of the commanding officer (or whoever he is). Also the hot, sympathetic girl watching. Ahhh, sadly I just rewatched this one and it wasn’t really hot for me anymore. It’s the paddling scene in ‘Dead Poets’ Soctiety’, and I used to have to go out of the room if other people were there when I was watching it, cos it was so sexy. But it’s two men again, and 5 strokes of a paddle doesn’t seem quite so dramatic to me any more. The first time I watched it, I didn’t think I’d ever get to experience something like that! But there’s the potential that it might have carried on, interrogation style…

Ohhh, pretty much the whole of ‘Kill Bill’ is hot for me; but the training sequence in Part 2 is super hot. Uma’s character being forced to hurt herself, Pai Mei’s disinterest in her efforts. All sexy.

Can’t say that I had the same reaction as you to the man on man CP scenes though.
Probably one of my favorite mainstream scenes is from the movie waxworks.

For those who have not seen it the movie its about a group of teens who are lured into a wax museum that is not yet open for business. The displays and the villains and monsters are installed but there are no victims. The teens become the victims when they are lured or pushed over the velvet ropes into the display. When killed in the scene they become the wax victim.
The hero’s girl friend becomes infatuated with the marquis de sade display, almost entering it in a trance like state the first time she goes in the museum.
Later when they go back to destroy the museum she dissapears when the hero turns his back for a minute.

Yes the manacles seem to be designed to be used as a collar on a large animal.
Also unfortunately I read that the Director decided to shoot the scene without nudity.
I can’t imagine that Desade would only expose a victims back.I also loved how she did not want to be rescued.
Ariel, maybe an improved reshoot is in order.
Now this is an excellent topic; I feel obliged to make a contribution. First time: Very scary.
The best thing about the topic is that immediately it made me cast my mind back to the many wonderful scenes lurking in my memories.
So three movies that definitely worked for me were:
The last few minutes of ‘Cat People’ (The eighties one, not as good a picture as the original but what a hot ending)
Lots of scenes from ‘Dogville’ (Superb piece of film-making even if you’re not waching it to see Nicole Kidman collared and chained).
‘Wife to be Sacrificed’ (Stunning Japanese story with wall to wall bondage).As for a single scene, the hogtied Annabella Sciorra in ‘Whispers in the Dark’ has a special place in my heart.
The more I think about it the more I realise that for me the best scenes aren’t just hot concepts but are extremely well shot. It must be something to do with the fact that I’m a film-maker myself, lousy coverage and poor focus-pulls must be one of my turn-offs.
Since this is my first post I’d like to congratulate you on the site as well. Still photography like the glory-days of Playboy and models that make the knees go weak. Crisp web design, easy to navigate and fast to find the content.

I make commercial feature films, but like most indy shooters I’ve assembled my share of shorts and trailers. Very interested in seeing your plans for video come to fruition.
I’m really surprised nobody mentioned “Secretary”. I haven’t actually seen the whole film, but the idea and the screencaps seem promising.
Bob, I think it’d be fab too shoot something like the Waxwork scene! I liked her not wanting to be rescued too. And I’m very keen to film anything that’d make Hywel talk as melodramatically as de Sade. ‘And now…my sweet, you DIE!’ Loony, but fabulous!

Karada; I’m not sure about Secretary. I went to see it with great excitement when it first came out, and I’ve watched it a couple of times since then. I like it, and I definitely feel sympathetic towards Maggie Gyllenhaal’s character. But the leading man, while doing a really good job as an actor (as far as I can see) isn’t really a domly fantasy character. He’s too conflicted, uncertain about what he’s doing, and dysfunctional to be sexy for me. But I think that’s because the film wasn’t trying to be anywhere near as sexy as the marketing people tried to make it look. It’s probably worth watching just for the honeymoon scene at the end though, I love that bit!
I’d be interested to know if anyone else found Secretary hot; but also do post if you have other suggestions for sexy movies which have inspired you!

Ah yes, Secretary, I know it well, as they say.
Thoroughly excellent film and I found the concept very exciting. In reality I don’t believe it’s presented deliberately to excite the audience, just to intrigue them in a rather charming love story. For me the brief scene right at the start is the sexiest bit as she wanders the office doing her job. Her graceful movement while restrained is pretty wonderful.
There are also many excellent scenes in the horror genre, though I’m aware for some people the context will take it beyond fantasy because of the realistic representations of actual violence.
I found certain elements of The Secretary hot, but mainly in the concept rather than in the execution. I didn’t like Spader’s character at all but thought Gillenhaal was really well cast.
It is memorable for me in that it introduced me to more psychological stuff and surprised me with how I felt about it. Particularly where he is telling her exactly how many peas she can have! Before then, I had been quite naive about BDSM relationships in general really but it made me see the idea of ‘ownership’ in a totally different light.

Hi Everyone. Hope you are all doing well. I cannot say that I’ve seen most of the movies mentioned other than Kill Bill and that’s hardly a bondage movie. Two of the ones mentioned sound promising so perhaps I’ll consider renting them. In reality I’m just not a big movie person but that’s just me. Unfortunately for me, most of the ones originally mentioned by Ariel, as well as a couple of the others, hold no intrigue for me. It’s a matter of personal interest and preference, to be sure, but caning, flogging, hot wax and that side of “the scene” in general just holds no interest for me. I just don’t consider pain hot or sexy. To each their own. That’s one of the main reasons why I’m a member of RE rather than Kink.com or any one of a number of hard core bondage sites. Just not the way I want to treat a partner even if consensual. While I don’t mind seeing some of it from time to time, to be honest, it’s not a direction I would like to see RE go. If it were going to become a major part of the site I would vote for a separate harder site or a separate portal to the harder stuff rather than it being a major component of the daily updates. Just my two cents.
Of course all that said, one of the movies with a bondage theme in it that I found hot, as a teenager, was “The Collector” which wasn’t exactly a “Love Bondage” film. To be sure there were some harder elements in it, particularly since the female leads dies in the end, but there were some nice bondage scenes and interaction in it, even if the actual bondage was pretty rudimentary

I was going to post much the same thing, only less eloquently. I’ve been hesitating because I’m really not the target audience for RE videos anyway – I come here for the photosets.
Anyway, I’ve grumped about RE videos being dark and edgy in the past (http://128.242.184.105/BB4B/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=648) and my comment here is much the same thing.
As a more positive suggestion, how about giving the Marquis de Sade the same treatment that Monty Python gave the Spanish Inquisition?
E.g. a video about the Marquis de Sad (spelling intentional) who is in the business of cheering up various young ladies sent to him. He puts them in Love Bondage, strokes their backs with something soft & fuzzy, makes them sit in the Comfy Chair or lie on the Comfy Couch (while tied hand & foot, of course), maybe applies a little tickling, and forces them to hug teddy bears and other large stuffed animals.
Getting back to the original topic of which movies we’ve found hot, I tried to come up with a list… but mine made me feel a bit like a closet psychopath because a lot of them were horror films! I guess having hit sexual awakening in the era of uncensored video nasties it makes sense, but still, I’m glad there are actual films about BDSM like The Secretary around (though I totally agree about the weirdness of James Spader’s character).
OK Hywel, stop procrastinating… here are some of the films I remember watching as substitute BDSM porn…
The Evil Dead. Part one. With the infamous tree scene (amongst others).
The House of Wax (the Vincent Price one)
The Hammer House of Horror made-for-TV movies. I know not strictly films, but they are pretty much in movie format http://www.hammerhouseofhorrortvseries.co.uk/ I don’t remember much about them now but I remember devouring them as a teenager. They were on TV so can’t have been any nudity or anything.
Live and Let Die (James Bond film)
“Women Behind Bars” http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0381985/ a really crappy exploitation film with paper thin plot about girl going to women’s prison and refusing to divulge the whereabouts of stolen diamonds. There’s a whipping scene and an electro torture scene that I remember very vividly. The rest of the film was basically an excuse for said scenes, IIRC.
Conan The Barbarian and Conan The Destroyer – mmm, hot slavegirls! Not so much hot action, but teenaged mind was more than capable of devising additional fantasies around the girl in the snake sacrifice scene or the chained-up princess. I still find the costumes and general gusto of the setting and the cinematography hugely appealing!!
The Vikings. Janet Leigh, mmm!
Big Trouble in Little China (especially Kim Cattrall who I remember being in chains for a lot of it- probably only a few seconds of screen time if I were to go back and rewatch it though!)
Peeping Tom – a groundbreaking British horror film http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0054167/ which amazingly was released as long ago as 1960, predating Silence of the Lambs’ “psychology of serial killers” by a good 30 years.
Videodrome. Any film starring Blondie’s Debby Harry as a masochist just has to be worth a watch! The BDSM scenes are fleeting but their influence permeates everything, even the psychedelic hallucination scenes. The videodrome TV feed itself looks remarkably like Insex, come to think of it…
Oh and there’s really no BDSM in it at all but Dune http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087182/ where the Baron spits just once on Lady Jessica’s face was hot for some strange reason. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvg4I_oU2_g That snippet in itself is a bit gross, but it is hot in context of the film because Francesca Annis has been so stylish and so gorgeously elegant up to that point I think.

I think I also watched a fair few cheap horror films featuring actresses I fancied in the hopes that bad BDSM stuff would happen to them. The aforementioned Janet Leigh really only had the Vikings and Psycho that I remember, but some actresses were real scream queens. I think with these ladies it was more than they would be sexy in whatever role they were playing, so if there was any damsel-in-distress stuff going on they would surely be very alluring- however brief the scene!
Most other exploitation films seemed to fall really flat, with a very slow pace and never quite delivering the promise of the film poster or trailer.
I’m sure there were more! But those are the ones I most clearly remember.
Less mainstream than Ariel’s, probably. I think I knew what I wanted a lot earlier than she did and wasn’t afraid to try to see it! I was sneaking in to see 15- or 18-rated films years early, after going through puberty I looked pretty much adult and figured out that if I took it for granted that I’d get in to a film and didn’t think about it, I’d never get asked to prove my age.
This also applied to buying top-shelf magazines, so I started a proper porn collection pretty early and discovered sources of actual BDSM porn as soon as I went to University.Cheers, Hywel.

I also loved Big trouble in little china.
There was the one scene where she wakes up kneeling on a cushion and dressed in an elaborate
chinese costume and heavy makeup.I allways loved that scene even though there was no bondage.
Maybe it was because I imagined how the villains henchmen undressed and dressed the hypnotized Kim.
I my mind Kim is kneeling there tightly bound with strips of red silk, Nude except for maybe a tiny red silk loin cloth with her whole body dusted with that heavy pancake makeup.
OK, for an on-topic reply, how about “Slavegirl Leia” in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi? I understand that lots of people imprinted on those scenes, simply because so many people saw that movie.
Ohhhh, Kim Cattrall looks absolutely beautiful – I’ve not seen that film either. I’ve got lots of new ideas of things to watch over Christmas.
Having thought a bit more, I also love the whole storyline and concept of ‘Kiss The Girls’, a thriller which sort of electrified me when I saw it while working at a cinema when I was a student. Here’s a trailer;-

Ahhhhh. I bought it to watch with Hywel last year, and realised that it had lost some of its power because I’ve grown up a bit, and when I saw it first I hadn’t seen many adult (by which I mean 18 rated) movies yet. But the idea of being kidnapped because the kidnapper sees you as beautiful, special and extraordinary is sort of hot. If obviously twisted.
Also, while watching Harry Potter this week, I realise that although the movies aren’t hot to me, Professor Snape definitely is. The disdain! The economy with words! The control over his classroom! Joy.

Ah, true, ‘Big Trouble in Little China’ not only has the delectable Kim Cattral but also briefly hogties and gags her in a cage, if memory serves.
Even though I’m not much into spanking, the cane scene in ‘5ive Girls’ was extremely hot and they did spend quite a lot of time on it.
My personal taste in films does run to the horror genre so I have managed to find sexy moments in films like ‘The Hills Have Eyes’, ‘Wrong Turn’ and even ‘Wolf Creek’ (seriously not for the faint-hearted).
As for exploitation, I’ve always thought that ‘Barbed Wire Dolls’ is pretty cracking.
The other one I’ve always enjoyed is ‘All Tied Up’, a title that a screenwriter would describe as ‘on the nose’. Admittedly most of it is a guy tied up by three women but there are a few minutes of turnaround and if Teri Hatcher is your thing then it’s pretty good. She’s also irritated rather than terrified. I’ve got a thing for ‘grumpy’ girls in bondage.

For me it all saturated when I saw the DiD at TV series like hazard dukes and knight rider. Movie wise, the quoted hotties scene of whispers in the dark made me buy the whole movie and these two scenes of “a stranger is watching” marked me as a kid and made me realize how to do a cloth packing gag as well as handcuff the ankles 🙂

LOL, I decided to watch Pasolini’s Salo last week. I’d seen a still from what looked like a super-hot whipping scene in a book years ago, and I’ve wanted to see it ever since.
What a disappointment 🙁 The concept’s really hot – with an elite group of wealthy men and women kidnapping a bunch of young gorgeous villagers and using them for their own sexual pleasure. But as is often the case for me, once people start dying, being maimed, or made to do stuff that’d actually be properly dangerous or cause disease; I can’t really find it sexy any more. So feeling like Mary Whitehouse, I gave up 🙂
