Hello! I’m sorry for not posting (especially sorry to you, CD, you’ve been posting away like a – well – whole new person really), I’ve been packing up my little flat in London and arranging to let it out because I’m MOVING IN WITH HYWEL next week 🙂
Ohhh, I’m so excited;really happy to be living with him of course, but also looking forward to being able to meet more of the RE models because once we get rid of the studio Hywel will be shooting them at the studio we’ll be making in the house. I’m fantasizing about being a super hostess, and making cookies for everyone. Obviously I’ll actually be more likely to be out at work, but still… It’ll be like having a succession of big dolls to play with – I wonder if they’ll all let me do their hair…
I don’t think I’ll be on the forum for a while because we’re going to shoot on location with Sophia Smith and Amy Allen as soon as we’ve moved in (bad planning, I think…) but I’ll get back online as soon as I can.
Hope everyone’s week is starting well – I’ve dyed my fingers turquoise by trying to dye some trousers in a big stupid hurry, but apart from that I’m fine. But sorry for not posting more.
Hello Ariel!
You see, since meeting you and Hywel I have become a reformed character. No more unexplained long absences (OK – this might also have something to do with my job encouraging us not to travel as often – credit crunch!), and a regular update on the mood and opinion of CD (I fear not too subjective of late – tending towards a default of ‘it’s all fab keep it coming!’). Of course if you are bored I could clear off for a couple of months!
Am so pleased that you and Hywel are moving on with your relationship. I wish you both all the best in the new house, and look forward to seeing shoots from the new studio once that is up and running.

The new year is beginning to look pretty good already – a shoot with Amy, Sophia and you – looking forward to that one!

Ps – Will you miss London? As someone who has only recently moved out I am suprised at just how much I have (I hadn’t expected to) – though I guess Reading is not that far out.

Hi All,
Well, we’re in! And the morning after we moved in to our new house, we packed our bags and headed off to sunny Stoke-on-Trent for a location video shoot. It was the first video shoot where Merlin and Steve helped Ariel and myself behind the cameras, which was an interesting experience (hopefully for you guys as well as for me!)
It is amazing how quickly I am getting used to having one person behind each camera, and a director as another pair of eyes on the scene when we shoot. I think it significantly improves our chances of getting good shots and not missing silly details, which in turn will make for easier editing and finally to a higher standard of videos on the site.
We shot with Sophia Smith on day one, and Amy Allen on day two, and Ariel took the chance to get tied up for a video first thing on each of the two days, too. I really enjoyed all the videos we shot (we were purely shooting video this time). I’ll post a few framegrabs when I get chance.
Then Ariel and I drove home for what felt like the first “proper” night in our new house. It is very exciting, a bit cold and doesn’t have a cooker or curtains in most of the rooms yet, but hooray, at least we have broadband now!
No rest for the wicked though as yesterday Chanta was back in the UK and we did another great video shoot with her and Bianca, from last year’s Bondage X Factor. Bianca is very sparky and I’d been trying to pair her up with Chanta for ages so it was great to finally get them together. It is always a bit of a nervous time shooting video with someone for the first time but Bianca was *FAB* and she and Chanta played off each other extremely well. So I’ve got lots of cool stuff to edit for you in the next few months! Ariel was looking very grumpy behind the camera and started to get truculent as she hadn’t been tied up all day, so Chanta turned her over her knee and gave her a good spanking. For a storyline video, naturally!
It was genuinely weird going back to two rolling cameras and just me behind them for that last video. I had to remind myself that it wasn’t long ago that having a on-screen dom was a huge luxury and that I used to have to set the cameras rolling and then jump into the scene myself! I think I’ve said before that there is a big difference of scale between what we can do for stills (where even the top calendar photographers would only have an assistant or two) and for video (where a Hollywood film might have five hundred crew). It made such a big difference just having one cameraman per camera, ideally with a director as well! I think the video shoot plans for 2009 will involve a bigger crew wherever we can, I just think it’ll give us higher quality results.
Right, I’d better go get Ariel set up with a PC and broadband so she can get online too!

Congratulations to both of you – and why am I not surprised that you got the broadband in before the cooker or curtains? Now then, are you gonna be able to make a doorway big enough to get the spherical cage it, or do you want to borrow my angle grinder?
I’m very familiar with that drive up to Stoke to shoot Amy – my satnav is pre-programmed with several locations near her house. I look forward to seeing the results 🙂

Hey, that was a great experience shooting video as opposed to stills! I think I LOVE video! It’s so different in many ways but definitely a little more tricky. Plus of course it was wonderful to see the models struggling in bondage as apposed to posing for still shoots – yum. 🙂
It was superb fun, so thank you Hywel for the opportunity. Just hope you’re happy with the footage we shot.
Plus I was very impressed with all the models acting abilities and felt deeply inspired by Ariel’s directing too. In fact, I drove home feeling very elated about the whole weekend. Can’t wait till 2009!
