I only speak for myself when I commented on the story, and I know my tastes in stories is not the same as everyone’s. I know various people who would probably love this story.
Considering the story in context of this site, the first part does a good job of hinting at things, but it does not hint at bondage and restraint, at least not to me.
With a “long” story (a very relative term) I find it is often best to hint at, or even start with, the “good” bits from later on, which often means bondage. This grabs the readers attention and tells them what to expect, and what is coming. It also encourages them to keep reading 🙂
Of course here there is the “tiny” problem of working out what the average member wants when so few people comment.
Taking a slight tangent I was thinking about “romantic stories”, and this one came to mind:

its one of several I could point to as an example of what I personally warm to, and call romantic, but it seems like a good example.

I feel this is a well written story, there is a lot of emotion and feeling. I have a strong emotional connection with Leona, I have a sense of knowing and sharing her feelings, but the feelings are far from happy.
To me the whole emotional tone, all of the hints at what is to come, are dark and unsettling.
So far I have only seen one “light” patch, which was in part 2 where the maid seems to be making “eyes” at Leona.
Yet look at the conversation, the interaction, between the maid and the mistress of the house. Again this is well done, but the terms in which the maid describes herself, the nature of the punishment, none of this fits with my definition of a romantic story.
To me a romantic story is a story filled with love, happiness, positive and uplifting emotions and ends on a happy note. Such stories sometimes contain tragic scenes or events, but for me they do not dominate and do not set the whole tone of the story.
Basically I want a story to lift my spirits and make me feel happy, to leave me with a sexy feeling inside and a smile on my face.
This is how I define my terms, define what I personally am looking for, and so far I am not seeing much at all to suggest this story is such a story.
The fact the maid has to meet her mistress later in her rooms is interesting, but inconclusive. At this point a standard course of events would be for the maid to sexually service her mistress, to reward the mistress for this treatment, this punishment.
Since I have chosen to stop reading at the end of part 3 I am not sure what route you have chosen to follow.
Is there no end to the wicked ways of this wayward woman? :laugh:
Hi Ariel, thank you for this initial post. It is most interesting.
Still so many video’s to watch, so many photo sets to study, but you do seem to have thrown yourself into the whole world of bondage with amazing enthusiasm!

Perhaps what is required is an outfit for Ariel, something clear, distinctive, obvious, something that screams “slave”, so that we can feel reassured that we will never mix these two people up…
Somehow naked and in chains just does not sound like it is enough. It raises the risk of confusing Ariel with one of the other models present for a shoot… honest! I mean, it *could* theoretically happen!
Perhaps a slave pen is required, somewhere where Ariel is locked up in between shoot’s, so that there won’t be any confusion? A smallish cage with a laptop so she can talk on the forum to keep from getting board perhaps? 😀

I love those shots with Ariel bent over the cage, her bottom just screams “spank me”! It looks from the final image as if I was not the only one thinking in those terms!
I am not sure what I think about all those clothes pegs on her breasts, but the look of the skin after they have been removed is quite something!

I am wondering about the sight of you, wearing just your tiara, strapped down with ice cubes dripped on you, ice resting on various parts of your body, ice under your bottom…
Basically hot wax, just with cold instead of heat.
I can see some practical concerns, but the idea might be usable. True it isn’t snow, but England and Snow rarely go together, at least in my experience.
Plus it seems to me that you “promised” pictures of you posing naked outside wearing only your tiara, and then failed to deliver! What price my disappointment and emotional suffering? *innocent expression number 31* – well chocolate of course, but I am thinking you should have to pay some price.
Perhaps I am just being to literal minded here, but a single pair of handcuffs on their own are unlikely to accomplish this.
Several pairs of handcuffs, securing her to a very heavy and fixed item, ideal for the purpose 😀
Or at the very least handcuff her arms around a pillar / pole, but then you miss out on those lovely images of her reaching her handcuffed hands around her body as she tries to manipulate things, or claims to be helpless as she begs for release.
Sammie I have the vague feeling that will be about as effective as threatening to feed me chocolate to make me behave! 😀
At the same time I do feel that it is important to be nice about the models here, and Page looks wonderful in these sample pictures, so perhaps some training in elegant behaviour and speech, to go along with the training on postures?

to which the answer is I have never watched PSYCHO and I never intend to watch it 🙂
the applicable answer is a little longer. I currently hang out at three active story sites, and keep a vague eye on some others.
many of the stories that are posted are *very* dark to my mind. mummification stories are especially prone to events that I personally *really* dislike.
So I look for early signs that a story is going to be happy and romantic, or dark and disturbing, and decide if I want to read it or not based on that.
Some stories start one way and end up very differently, I know this, but experience of reading a lot of online bondage (and related – I will just link to the sites if people care rather than getting into definitions 🙂 ) most stories start as they continue.
So you can take the initial feel as a 90% or more accurate assessment of how the story is going to carry on and end.
When you have as many stories backlogged to read as I have, that is good enough :oh
*considers* the obvious and standard reason for handcuffs is when someone is arrested.
But for this to work we would need someone who is guilty of some “terrible” crime (Ariel has not fed me any chocolate for days, well actually ever) that calls for them to be arrested.
Perhaps they could be arrested outside, as if they were going about their normal every day business, thinking they had gotten away with their terrible crime (checks, still no Ariel or chocolate).
Prisoner transfer? Its another standard reason for handcuffs to be to the fore.

the central character here being locked up is male, so does not look much like the standard RE models, but some of the ideas for prisoner transport might give people idea’s. Plus I just think it is a really well done story 🙂

I love the idea of innocent women being put through nice punishments, things they enjoy even as they claim they don’t, and that it is all a “terrible trial”.
If it is a real punishment then the women should definitely be guilty of a suitable crime. She does not have to be guilty this time, but she has to be suitably nasty / guilty, otherwise it is just wrong.
Torture is something I am not interested in at all, and feel that even wicked people should not be tortured, at least as a general rule.
If I am following the logic correctly Ariel having two tiaras is actually a good thing.
This would mean she would put on airs twice as often, and so would need tying up, stripping naked, etc, twice as often!
So more tiaras leads to more images of Ariel all tied up, trying to learn the error of her ways… this is a rather appealing thought 🙂
Feet? *puzzled expression* but this would require looking away from the look in the model’s eyes, to stop drinking in their expressions, away from admiring their cleavage / breasts in their lovely outfits…

A Yes from me, based on what I have found so far. Some of the drawings by Steve O. Reno are to dark for my tastes, for example the woman in the saw mill 🙁
That did not look like it was about to have a happy ending.
But several of his drawings really speak to me. They have the emotion, the wonderful expressions in the women’s eyes, the sexy outfits, the lovely bondage, that I am seeing and finding so enjoyable in the picture sets.
I also really liked “The Stables” by Morgan Cauthers-Knox. Well drawn, so sexy, and overall just a wonderful image. This though is one you could have done with real models just as well.
I am in two minds about “Breast Cabinet” by Brian Tarsis
The words that go with it really bring it alive. I love the concept, the idea, the vision of the woman being bound like this in the middle of a busy part of the house for a long period. It is just the image its self did not really speak to me. Her eyes just don’t look right to me, I cannot see / feel the emotions I want to see and feel here.I am not sure if Sigrid’s Saga qualifies under this heading or not, since the ones I have seen so far are as much story as art.
The work that seems to have gone into the drawings is amazing, the story is well constructed, I am just not sure if it is a story I am going to like or not. Is it ultimately a happy story? Things are starting to look up in “After the battle”, and I really love the wicked detail with the sausages in the first frame!
panther79 I don’t see the problems you see with the writing. Then again I stopped reading about half way through part 1, so I am not in a terribly good position to comment *shrug*
I have read a *lot* of online bondage fiction over the years, and I would call the writing that I read quite good. You should check out the average level of online bondage fiction – I have seem some truly terrible examples. It has an “old” feel / style to it, which I suspect is quite deliberate.
The pictures are there to add to the text, at least in my mind, and this should be approached as a story with pictures, not pictures with words.
I was interested in the “pen stroke” look to the edges of the thumbnail pictures, and spent several moments admiring and considering this.
For the story its self, when I reached the line:

it became clear to me that this was not destined to be a happy, romantic and uplifting story. Instead it looked likely to be a cruel and unpleasant story, and personally I avoid such stories.
I want to read stories that lift me up, fill me with happy thoughts, and show humans in a good light. If I want to be reminded of what human’s are capable of I turn on the news *sigh*

I was thinking about this thread when I found and downloaded the second rehab set, thinking it had already been posted when I posted this thread – which would have been ever so slightly embarrassing 🙂
It is your comment about some of the models liking the feeling of being hugged by the ropes that really strikes a cord with me though, in a slightly unexpected manor.
I have one of those rucksacks with a belly strap and a chest strap. I am not quite sure why it needs so many straps, but I always do all of them up and pull them tight when wearing it to go for a long walk, since I love the feeling of having it pulled tight around my torso.
It certainly does not do anything to restrict my movements, unless you count making me a little top heavy when I bend over 😀 so the effect seems quite similar to the rope work hug effect.
The first picture really stands out for me. It is the colours, the clothes, the model, it all feels so warm and inviting, a really lovely feeling 🙂
Look at the first picture of Gemma on the bed! The look in her eyes, her entire face, it almost makes me want to untie her!
I shall be strong, but she might need a *HUG* to make her feel better.
Simply me being kind, and not an excuse to come over and hold such a lovely lady while she is all tied up, honest! *puts on cute little pussy cat expression* :kitty
I love Samantha’s expression, that look in her eyes, in the second picture! She looks so wonderfully sexy in that dress, with that air about her.
And then later on the sight of her in that lovely red dress… I really don’t know which look was sexier!

I have only just joined, so I am still in “OMG I am in heaven :faceheart ” mode, which might bias me a little, but I rather like some of the bare feet picture sets I have come across.
Personally I am not a fan of feet for the sake of feet – ticked feet when the model is all tied up yes, but that is a different discussion.
I think it is nice to see a beautiful naked model posing, when the photo’s are well done. It can be surprisingly hard to find this even on sites that are supposed to specialise in it.
So if this is a bonus then it is a wonderful bonus. I would not join for it alone, but I am very happy to find it here.
I like variety in the positions, but for the poll I chose spread eagled, since there is something so appealing about being able to see the model’s face while she is so exposed and vulnerable.
I agree with lurker, I like to see pouting, and other “how can you do this to me!” and “please let me go, I will be good” expressions on the models faces.
So while I am not against gags, I feel they can get in the way of this.
