If you want to save production time my personal preferences would be:
– Drop all videos or make them a lot rarer.
– Do more studio shots. I personally like the simplicity of simple lighting and backgrounds contrasting with the models in bondage. I even like models against a pure black background. I like some outdoor shots particular au natural in forests or pools but you don’t need to go and hire a castle in Spain for me to enjoy the sets.
– Don’t worry about constructing elaborate storylines to justify pretty girls being naked or semi-clothed in bondage. We can fill in the gaps in our own minds.
I’d rather have 100 still shots broken into 2×50 than see still production drop at the cost of more video. But please, and I know this has been mentioned before, if we are going to have 100 shots in a set lets have plenty of variety in the model’s posing. The sort of sets I don’t like are where you get 50 almost identical left front quarter shots and one is left wondering whether the model has a backside or a hideous birthmark on the right side of the face because she seemingly refused to adopt any other pose!

I’m a huge fan of the five point shackle sets and I wish there were a lot more sets done using them as was the case in the past. As for the suggested shooting schedule changes, they don’t appeal to me. I don’t come to the site for video and very rarely download it. What attracts me to the site are the still sets so having the production of still sets halved is a retrograde step as far as I am concerned. Replacement of new sets by archive sets isn’t of interest to me either because being a long term member on and off I already have all the archive sets I am interested in. Behind the scenes material is vaguely interesting but not a substitute for new content.
My favourite sets are two that Petra did a while ago, air spirit and circle of fire.
They are so good that it would be a shame not to see them, or a similar idea (girl wakes up in linked 5 point shackles and struggles very prettily in them) recreated with another model or two (or ten). Belle would be great for example.

To be brutally honest, I just don’t think it’s very good prose. It’s not what I am after at RE and it has no value to me even as a freebie extra.
I’m not against bondage artwork on principle, its just that I see very little of it that’s even decent art.
If its not coming at the cost of photo sets I don’t mind it, other people like it, but its not an attraction to me. If I really want to see it I can find particular artists I know I like and patronise their sites.
Anything with Fi, Zoe or Ariel naked and in cuffs and shackles 🙂
However, my absolute favourite all-time was the Aimee Princess series.
I like hooded shots, but there is no reason to have a whole set hooded – have some bare faced so the beauty of the model can be seen then have the hooding done during the set, so her sense of fear and dread can be seen, then finish off with the hooded shots.
Looks great, I can see some sets in there that are going to get a five star rating from the MBF.
Personally, I’d prefer to see the purity of metal bondage maintained, so metal cuffs and collar should go with metal chains. Part of it is a pure question of style and look, another part is the idea that a big part of the attraction of metal over rope for me is that chains are more inescapable than rope because rope can be cut and chains cannot. So mixing rope with metal undermines that.
When it comes to metal bondage outfits the chains used in the Aimee Princess series would be my absolute favourite – a set of a naked Ariel in those chains trying vainly to escape across the French countryside would probably make me pass out LOL.
PS: leather cuffs with rope could work well though, particularly if the model is being bound with them to an object like a table
As a confirmed member of the metal bondage fraternity I echo CD’s comments.
Whilst it was VERY nice to see some metal bondage after a diet of weeks of rope bondage I also feel the potentialities of the two sets weren’t fully explored. The cuffs and anklets on the models were nice visually but if they aren’t going to form part of her bondage at some stage during the set then they are essentially wasted from a bondage point of view and this is after all a bondage photography site.
That leads me into my other criticism of RE sets, too often for my taste the set just consists of the model being put into one form of static bondage and then photographed from 50 angles with no or very limited changes of pose and none of the bonds. In the case of elaborate rope bondage I can understand this because you can’t half-untie her and she may not be able to move at all, but a set that shows evolving or different forms of bondage with a variety of poses is far more interesting to me if its at all possible.
The two metal bondage sets were perfect examples of where the model’s bondage could have been increased during the set, by all means start off with the cuffs and anklets merely as jewelry to get that effect but during the set add the linking chains. That way you get the best of both worlds, the set is more interesting and everyone including the MBF is happy 🙂
Interesting analysis arcanjo. I wonder if the high score for bare feet is because people like bare feet in themselves or because bare feet often accompany nudity or skimpy clothing which people like? Could be both reasons of course.
The higher scores for casual restraints and historical/fairy tale sets might be because those sets involve a larger range of poses and often have a story that goes with them that develops over the set In comparison sets where the model is tied into one pose and then photographed from many different angles tend to score lowly, I personally enjoy the sets with a story and the model moving around in different poses and with different bonds and I suspect others do too judging from the voting.
The colour question might depend on the colouring of the model, for example, baby blue might suit a blonde while bright red might suit a brunette.

If I put up one set a day and left them up for a week or eight days or something would that be better than four every Saturday?
Definitely, because:
1. its nice to have something new to look forward to each day
2. seven sets per week > four sets per week
I vote for a new one every day up for a week – variety is good, the vast majority of people aren’t on holiday in any particular week.

I voted for metal shackles too because that’s what attracted me to this site – the really good sets of naked girls shackled in combination collar/wrist/ankle chain sets.
Rope/leather/scarfs etc can be found on a hundred sites and police handcuffs are also very common, but the shackled sets on this sight are both distinctive and very well shot.
My ultimate set would be busty blonde models (natural girls please, personally I find implants unexciting) naked in shackle sets…mmmmmmm.
I like the naked slavegirl in chains sets best and so the appropriate backdrops would be dungeon or harem.
The occasional outdoor shot (I liked the one on the beach) would be good too – e.g. naked girl in chains in forest – though there are practical considerations with that to take into account (don’t want to have the police called on you by a worried bystander!)
I’d like to see a few shots in each set with a ball gag, but mostly ungagged, as someone else said gags are a nice touch but tend to block a lot of emotion
