My bride has returned to West Yorkshire. 🙁 I have some work to do in the US before I can be with her again, but I think I will be there by early August.
With regard to lighting, Hywel did note something in addition to the monitor tuning I need to do. I have a cataract in my left eye and have had surgery on my right eye; that’s a story too long for here and irrelevant. That may well be a cause for my complaint.

The book arrived across the pond on April 13. It is a beautiful book; and, of course, the models are beautiful too. I was a little surprised at how soon the Royal Mail and the U.S. Postal Service delivered it.
I have to agree with lurker. Ms. Allen has such a lovely smile (in addition to other attributes) and appears to be enjoying herself.
I am not too surprised. You and Ariel have presented the book very well.
I am surprised, though, that a second print run of just 25 full-colour books would be affordable. Of course, printing technology has changed a lot since I last looked into it (Then, a full-colour book would need at least several thousand copies to be affordable.)
Not having heard from you or eBay, I am assuming that I got one of the early copies. 😀
I have said this in slightly different words in another post. The most important thing for me, and almost unique to RE, is that the model appears to be enjoying the shoot. Smiles, or an eager, accepting facial expression, are very nice. That is why I do not favour (interesting that the spell checker didn’t like the Commonwealth spelling) severe gags; the model can still have a nice expression with some mild gags.
Bondage outlining the breasts is hardly confining, and can detract from the model’s beauty, whether clothed or not.
Well done rope work is excellent. Frankly, though, I prefer metal: your globe cuffs are especially nice, but any cuffs are good. The yoke also displays the model well.
Nudity is far from essential, although, again, it is nice. The fact that RE doesn’t (often) display too many intimate details is good.
Self-bondage is nice to watch. (Indeed, except for your trailers [why are they called that? When I went to a theatre (maybe 20 years ago), the “trailers” led] I seldom watch RE videos. I would watch a model doing self-bondage.) (General outline: model slowly undresses, applies gag and blindfold, searches for leg irons and applies them, cuffs wrists behind her back, and waits, uncertainly for her master to return.)
In any case, RE is a great site, and I’m sure 2011 will be as good as the previous years I have subscribed.
I agree with lurker. A couple of things I want to emphasize.
I vastly prefer photo sets where it is apparent that the model is enjoying the shoot. It is great when the model smiles. I suppose that is difficult when the model is gagged, but her expression can show pleasure.
I prefer modern cuffs for what that is worth, although RE rope work is done very well.
With regard to story lines, well, there isn’t much need for them if the model is restrained elegantly. A set in which the model is slowly stripped, having started wearing a skirt suit, blouse, bra, and knickers would be welcome. (Perhaps the model could be restrained by collar and chain until she is bare above the waist.)
Nudity is far from essential, although pleasant. Clinically detailed shots of the model’s crotch are not attractive, although teasing shots are nice.
RE is by far my favorite site.
One request not related to photos or videos (I will comment that I find most of your videos a little bit too long): I do enjoy the text chats with a live model. Of course, the time difference makes things difficult for residents of these United States of America.

I did not want to start a new topic for this, but I did want to comment that Ariel’s video preview for November is absolutely superb. I hope you will continue this new introduction.
Folllowing up on lurker’s post, I tend to prefer still photo sets over videos. Some of your videos have been superb; however, for my taste they tend to be too long.
As I have said previously, I prefer sets (still or video) where the model is obviously enjoying herself; smiles are wonderful.
I hope that you will have more chat sessions with the models. The time is somewhat awkward for me, since I am in the US Central time zone, but I can work around that.

I went back to the first site [not] mentioned, and there is another set of Ariel. Hogtied, but the site’s blurb emphasizes toes being tied. Ariel, you don’t look at all happy, except in the last two shots where your hands are untied and you are smiling.
I am making an assumption here, but I would bet that bondage models do not get residuals.
I want to add my experience (First of all, I haven’t looked at the network paths involved. Had I been using my Linux system, I would know that command to do that, if my memory still worked. Something like “traceroute”.) However, I have no clue how to do that with Windows 7.
Many downloads of wmvl files fail. Two attempts to download “arielpoolsidehogtie” failed. The third worked. I have kept the failed attempts, in case your technical people can see something in the files. I don’t think it is something as simple as a failed connection. If it were, I think that the Windows Media Player would notice something corrupt about the file, and it doesn’t. It just restarts the video. (Well, that is strange in itself, but 30 years ago, I gave up on understanding the wonderfully strange ways that Microsoft produces programs.)
I have not checked the few .zip files I have downloaded.
I seldom download videos from other sites (mostly because they are boring.) However, in the last month I did have a subscription at another site, also downloading .wmv files, and never encountered a problem. I have been retired from programming for the last four or five years. As I result, I no longer think accurately about network problems. This is just more data for you to send to your technical people.

(Although, as I have said before, the only purpose of a gag is to make a script unnecessary.) 🙂
Since I do not have a real life model to tie, my interest is in viewing the models here. And a model hogtied is not very interesting to me. She may be helpless. She may be exposed for all to see. She may even writhe around quite a bit, showing her breasts. All of these are very nice, but it doesn’t do much for my imagination (for reasons Ariel stated.)
My prayers are with Ariel for her rapid healing.
Today’s feature (April 16, 2009) with Samantha is an example of photos which are too dark. Of course, when displayed full screen, one can see [most of] the model. We all recognize the need for artistic lighting, but in this case, nothing is really gained
It is quite difficult for me to make a suggestion. Two reasons:
(1) your existing plans, and your resident slavegirl, already are so good; and
(2) my old ideas tend more to a mild video than to a photo shoot.
But, my Linux system being down, here is what I remember of what I once wrote.
The model explains verbally that she is directing the video, but will need help. She begins by undressing, at
least down to underwear. She binds herself, leg-irons and handcuffs, behind her back. She says, “You see that I will ned help to change the scene.” The camera watches her, as she moves against her restraints.She says, “Of course, I really should be naked; if only someone would arrange that.”
Then, naked, the model is shown in a variety of bound positions. And they really don’t matter, only the model’s narrative as she describes them, and her reaction to them, matters.
And, obviously, since this is a free suggestion, it is worth what you paid for it.
I think that the Gor novels (with the possible exceptions of #5 and #24) are at best adolesent male fantasies. Long before I should have, I have outgrown them.
And, except for kajira dressed only in jewels, or in stocks, I’m not sure what a Gor theme would be.
But I have read the novel, and it is superb. Maybe a little strange, but the notions are wonderful. I may offend some, but I do think that a lot of earth women would like to be owned in that realm.
I don’t think that women would like to be owned on Gor.
Maybe you can give Ariel some more explicit ideas about Gor bondage scenes? It has been more than 30 years since I have read the Gor books.
