What? You mean because it is now much cheaper than my dial-up service and ca. 20X faster! Yea the thought had occured to me too! I hope to be moving in the next couple of months and will certainly be upgrading then. At present I can, on occasion, get access to a PC with broadband from which I download any of the larger RE files I want (REnights videos etc) for everything else the trusty ReGet Deluxe and dial-up does just fine (you have some control over it’s dialing and shutdown procedures so I tend to download medium sized files during the night when I’m asleep).

Hi wirewyrm;

I am on a dial-up still and my ISP tends to timeout my connection after about two hours (too short a period for the bigger downloads now on RE). Might not be the most elegant solution but I can report 100% success with ReGet Deluxe download manager (Google it). This software (it’s free for a 100 day trial) means that if my connection gets dropped I can start again from the same place next time I connect. Have a try.

Hi Hywel;

A couple of thoughts on this one. We discussed in here a while back (about the time King Kong got discussed) the idea of more damsels in distress scenes at RE (i.e. bond girl, penelope pitstop or general film/TV heroine). With this in mind how about…

1; A few years ago you did a good set of Missey tied to a pole (she was in a rather good orange PVC catsuit if memory serves me correctly) something I always thought was lacking from that set was that the pole was never lifted up. Therefore how about a ‘captured in the jungle’ scene (you might even use the sandy set you have been using recently) where the model (our damsel in distress) ends up tied to what would have to be a fairly sturdy pole (dressed to look natural-like) and held, aloft, face down (so some kind of support either end of the pole) over a ‘camp fire’ (orange tissue paper??).

2; You have never done that classic in film and TV bondage the ‘tied to the railway tracks scene’. You must be able to knock up some railway tracks out of wood and it would present an opportunity to shoot in some period costumes (to truly re-enact those old films).

3; I know you have done pirate scenes in the past but I don’t recall the pirate ever finding an heiress on the ship they were pirating – stripping her of her jewels and fancy clothes – tying her up and forcing her to shuffle (bare feet bound) down the plank.

Anyone think of their favourite film bondage scene to re-enact??

In addition to those I have two other requests/ideas.

4; MORE TICKLING – the recent Jenny army set was bang on the money. Bound woman struggling against her bonds whilst being tickled (do I need to emphasise feet?? – thought not) will always get a smile from me.

5; We need to think of scenes/situations that put the flexibility of both Paige and Roxanne to the test. Both (esp Paige) have attributes not before seen at RE – lets put them through their paces!!!

Ps – was reading Flemings Bond books on holiday (you must read them – they are refreshingly politically incorrect) starting with Casino Royale (the first Fleming wrote and soon to be released as a film with the sodding blonde bond). I only mention it because the bond girl in the book (I will not give the story away – I too am awaiting the film) is kidnapped and subdued by lifting her dress above her head and tying it. This lead me to wonder how effective this might be – though it probably would not make for the most exciting RE sets

So just out of interest, you mention how some models won’t appear nude (fair enough) and I am aware that some of the models won’t do video work (again fair enough – I completely agree with you by the way about being OK with models who don’t want to take their clothes off – I would far rather see a happy looking clothed model bound than a miserable/uncomfortable model tied up in the duff). I am delighted to hear (though knew it to be the case anyway) that RE will continue along with its bias towards barefoot modelling (one of the top three reasons why I am here) but was just wondering, similar to the situations above, whether you have encountered models uncomfortable with you photographing their feet and how/whether you got round the problem. As I mentioned I am a bit of a foot-guy myself and am aware of some girls I know who hate their feet (most of the time without good reason in my opinion) or the thought of anyone touching them.

Hi All;

Well I think it overall it is going really well (where did you find that model though??). I think I mentioned in the previous thread of comments on these videos I worried in the first few minutes of installment one that the videos might be too harsh (I refer to the scene in the doorway with Hywels boot on Ariels back – whipping her bum) but have since come to the conclusion that a happy medium has been reached that is neither too harsh or too soft.

Editorially I don’t particularly have a problem with the occasionally wobbly camera and Ariel occasionally dissapearing out of shot – I think it adds to the realism (there clearly is only Hywel and Ariel there) and as Hywel has already indicated that has got to help with Ariels performance.

I guess I have two slight critisisms;

1; Whilst I am enjoying the demerit videos I wonder whether anyone shares my view that the dressing room scenes are perhaps a little too frequent and overly long. I appreciate this is a bit of a problem as you want to show exactly what happened but these bits move at a definitely slower pace than the demerit scenes. They do raise the anticipation though – which I guess s a good thing (good things come to those who wait).

2; (I have thought twice about writing this – I really do not wish to give the model a big head) Whilst I am enjoying these videos – and look forward to the next installment, their arrival has brought about a distinct drop-off in the number of sets we see with Ariel. Would thus have to echo Haslers sentiment – please can we see some good RE close-up photgraphy sets of Ariel whilst this series of films is running?

You are both right I think there was a set with Petra as a jewell thief and there was also a set with Jasmine, not to mention sets with both Jasmine and Belle (seperately) as officers of the law that get restrained (doh!).

At the risk of going ‘off topic’ I had a Cavalier but it got sold when I was writing my PhD thesis (poor student). It was built in ’92 and was Red (in a link to another topic running at the minute the boot was quite large as I remember and, though I never tried, am sure you could have got many submissive chicks in the back). I am a bit surprised that you have a 2003 model as, certainly in the UK, by then I thought they had been discontinued and replaced with the current Vectra?

It does not do a great deal for me (I take it you are talking about scenes being acted out on bondage sites such as RE, as opposed to wrong ‘uns being hauled off to jail).

Check out the ‘explorer girls’ section in the gallery section of http://www.thebielsite.com/. It is quite a good site this one – biel stands for Bondage in Everyday Life and seems to features plenty of American students tying their fellow students up.

I have really enjoyed the last few sets on that black leather sofa. There is something very beautiful about a model caught, barefoot, in a simple position like that – the black leather helps of course!

Personally I am a bit more of a rope/more stringent bondage bloke, but at the end of the day I am struggling to complain.

I got the Peter Jackson version of King Kong on DVD the other week (I did see it at the cinema and think I was the first to raise the topic in the forum) and though perhaps a bit over long (it was a must-see following the lord of the rings trilogy – am still having impure thoughts of Liv tyler as the frequently barefoot Arwen – why did Tolkien not throw in a bondage scene??) I am still loving the Naomi Watts sacrifice scenes. Can’t wait to see the RE interpretation of the scene.

Regarding the Bullwhip – perhaps it was confiscated as a potential weapon, though it does raise the entertaining prospect of some lunatic passeger trying to take over a plane with a bullwhip.

Hi All – It’s the weekend!!!

I quite like the new system, and also quite like Hywels idea to have one Archive set put up each day and remaining up for a week. On the old system I used to check the archive on a Saturday or Sunday and download those sets that I didn’t have. Unless I am missing something by continuing my same routine, and checking once (maybe twice) a week, woud mean more archive sets per week and therefore more chance to catch up on missed/lost sets.

I am currently having a bit of a nightmare with CD-R’s and -RW’s, on which I burn sets, becomming corrupt (the computer is going out the window if I get too many more ‘cyclic redundancy check’ messages) and though I have had some success recovering these disks with CD recovery software, have found the Archive and Photo store (for real favorites) to be very useful.

A couple of comments/suggestions though.

1, would it be possible to have multi-set series posted in order and relatively close (in terms of time) to one another, as opposed to the current apparently random manner in which sets appear.

2, Could we occasionally have a video archive (or would this place to great a demand on bandwith??).

3, Final one (most cheeky). Would it be possible to have a members request form, or even just a strand within this forum, where we could make requests for favorite sets of old. We would understand that this would not happen immediately, but presumably Hywel has to decide what to put up and when – this would ensure that at least one person would be awaiting the post.

Does anyone else agree/disagree with any of these?

Just a couple of comments on the posts above. I so completely agree with Ariel’s point that often other bondage sites go to the trouble of immobilising the model (with varying degrees of success and asthetic pleasure) and then photographing the model static. I too feel that the RE shoots (and indeed the other sites for which Hywel is the principle rigger and photographer) are totally different in allowing some interaction with the model. For me this not only makes the bondage a whole lot more interesting (it provides a setting and something of a point to the shoot) but allows something of the models character to come out. Many of the American sites seem to shoot models who are not in the least submissive or into this whole scene and that does tend to create a really crappy affect. I therefore guess that the success of the shoots at RE are also heavilly dependent on the models, and that they are not doing anything that is not entirely comfortable (mentally – physical discomfort, though not desireable maybe a bit of an occupational hazzard) to them. The quality of photography here is about the best I have come across as well.

Merlin’s point about the range of different shoots appearing here is also a good one and a further positive of the site. I guess if you don’t like a set on here if you wait a couple of days there is likely to be one along that you do like. There has been a lot of chat in these forums lately about what restraints are used and I have to say, after some consideration, I am a tick in the box for the heavier, tighter rope or strap’s bondage as it is easier to restraint – intensified when a model tries to struggle against them. I think for me sometimes cuff sets suffer in that they allow maybe a little too much movement – there are some ankle cuffs that are used here sometimes, I am sure the chain of which is loger than the models (say someone like Belle’s) stride. I do like some of the metal yokes however (correct terminology?), the neck and wrist ones are good especially when used with a solid spreader between the legs. Have just mentioned in Belles corner that I am really enjoying the sets she did with Sabrina with all the dungeon equipment and hopefully now Hywel has his new studio we may see some more benches and crosses and things. I also enjoy the range of costumes in here (I lean towards the more contemporary looks as opposed the period ones, and enjoy the liberal sprinkling of fetishwear, PVC and leather here too). WARNING STUCK RECORD TIME; I also very much enjoy the barefoot content that run throughout this site, though would not want to deprive the stocking/shoe or boot brigade of their pleasures.

As for the percentage of members contributing to these forums I guess its a personal choice thing – just like voting in a coutries election if you don’t contribute your opinion then your position will not be represented. To continue the parallel however if you don’t contribute then you can’t whine about the result (and Blair wins again – sorry I’ve gone too far!!). Of Hywels comment “RE is my baby and so to a first approximation I shoot what *I* want to see” damn right – good luck to you. But then I would say that – I keep coming back for more so you must do something right!!.
