CD is having one of his now infamous ‘catch up’ evenings.

Congratulations to Fogane for tracking down the cuffs. What a thrill to see something that you have introduced Hywel and Ariel to crop up on the site.

Other than the handcuffs the most striking thing about the set was the beautiful photography. That light was just wonderful and, along with the beautiful setting, really complimented Ariels natural beauty. It just goes to show that at RE even fairly minimal bondage works really well when combined with beautiful scenery and fab photography. Well done to the three of you therefore.

Technical bit (Ariel can possibly skip the next paragraph)

As a bit of an amateur photographer myself I guess I might have got a little, unnecessarily concerned about the blown highlights in the sky in some of those shots. I guess that was an intentional thing, clearly better to correctly expose for Ariel than the sky?

Decisions decisions…..

Hi All;

This call for ideas has been troubling me – I keep wandering past my computer and feeling guilty for not having offered up my suggestions, I better put that right then…

1; I have had an idea in my mind for a while and am sure that it is not original but can’t for the life of me think where I have seen it before (I am not convinced it has not featured on RE in the past). The idea hinges around locking the model in a cage or in cuffs and leaving her with the key to unlock herself and escape? The twist? trap the key in a block of ice, such that she will have to either wait for the ice to melt or try to melt it herself using her own body heat. You could imagine a burglar scene, he just wants the telly and is not all that interested in holding the lone, female, occupant of the house hostage – he just needs her to stay put for long enough for him to make good his escape. Maybe the story needs some work but perhaps give the idea a try.

2; An idea that came to me at a party the other day – not entirely sure how this is going to work but am sure there is a shoot here somewhere – how about combining bondage and twister (the game). Perhaps a drunken party scene, late at night – lets play Twister? I am not sure whether players should start in bondage or whether it should be a forfeit for rubbish play (perhaps CD has finally found a good application for those long-chained metal ankle cuff things)

3; Ages (years ago) back a ballerina scene was suggested, I seem to remember Ariel being terribly excited by it but I don’t recall it ever happening.

4; Slave on a pirate ship. Scene 1, wealthy heiress kidnapped from a fancy boat on the high seas. Scene 2, cut to some months later when the clothes she was captured in look a little bedraggled torn and dirty as the crew have her cleaning the deck with her bucket and brush (cinderella style), Scene 3, perhaps after some escape attempt or after resisting the advances of one of the pirates she is forced to walk the plank (arms bound, barefoot…)

5; Equestrian. Don’t know why but jodhpurs and those big old riding boots (me, boots? it’s a turn up for the books I grant you) and the other trapings of those girls I used to know who spent all their free time down at the stables are really quite sexy (if you catch them before they’ve been near a horse there is always the feint smell of leather about them as well, afterwards they just smel of swetty horse and manure). Clearly something can be done with this scene.

6; Back to basics. We often talk about where in our childhoods all this bondage business started and more often than not the cords of dressing gowns (robes) feature as early bondage material. How about a set where some of that innocence is recaptured? I am seeing pyjamas, barefeet, a bed and a model recreating her early experiences of bondage on her own in her room (alternatively a two model sleep-over set would be cool as well)

There you go, that’s a start. I am sure I have a few more and will add them as they come to me.

Oddly, I can now get the site when I use Internet Explorer but can’t seem to get it when I use Firefox (my default browser). Seems a bit odd.

So there is usually a couple of sets that crop up in these previews where you think “that’s going to be a good day – can’t wait to see more of that set” and March looks like it has slightly more than average of such sets.

Before we go any further lets just get the pink PVC straightjacket out the way first – how very very cool! Am certainly looking out for that one.

Whilst I am waiting I shall also be looking out for Fi Stevens (so pleased she is back on the site more regularly again), Kobe suspended to that pole, Paige (a personnal favorite), Sophia hogtied on the beach oh and lots more of Ariel.

Ps, It’s funny seeing that block of Jasmine Sinclair archive sets mid way through that selection. When I first encountered the site it was all about her, looking at the site now it has totally changed since then, I can only think of Kate and Chanta whp were regular features on the site back then who are still with us today.

Whilst spanking really isn’t my thing I have no doubt that you approach that side of your work with the same professionalism and enthusiasm that you do for your bondage work. I am therefore sure that Amelia delights her spanking fans just as much as Ariel delights us. Well done girl! (I am still not sure how anyone can bring themselves to spank anyone so lovely – it must take some method acting!)

Incidentally has it dawned on anyone else that the golden buttocks award is a bit of an odd name. Surely the redest buttocks would be more appropriate.

Hi all;

Perhaps a bit cheeky to be wishing everyone a happy new year on January 19th but heck, it’s my first post of the new year (I was doing so well towards the end of last year too – I hang my head in shame!) so, happy new year to you all – how’s it been so far?

In response to the question – what does CD want to see on the site in 2009? Clearly, I keep paying my site membership so personally I don’t think that there is too much wrong with the site, and I am not going into a big list of the sort of things that CD likes in RE sets – I fear that may be going over old ground! Just a few comments though:-

1; I am really looking forward to shots from your new studio/home. I think you may have exhausted the possibilities of the sets you had at the old/current studio (the prison cell, black set for example had maybe been seen too often).

2; I guess I would encourage you to put up suspension points in multiple positions. I quite like suspensions and having the points there doesn’t necessarily mean you have to always use them for complete suspensions. Also, having points in a few locations will extend the life of the new place in terms of original looking sets.

3; I do like videos. Yeah I know it’s a bondage site, but there have been occasions when I would happily sit and watch Ariel being Ariel with the bondage being secondary (the Ariel as a cowgirl videos crack me up – not sure they were supposed to be comedy). I also encourage more of the instructional behind the scenes-type videos such as Ariel’s diary and the Chanta tying model X up tutorials – these really bring out the personality of the models and make the site that bit more intimate than some others. Don’t get me wrong I wouldn’t want all videos to be of this nature and you have shot some great story-based videos – see on)

4; Stories; I think this is a balance thing. Sure, develop stories and shoot sets around them – perhaps, as discussed, where we see a progression from girl wandering along looking beautiful and elegant through to being captured, bound, stripped, interrogated…. Having said that I think there is something to be said for a simple setting with a bondage model looking gorgeous and bound – no need for a story (some of last years Paige sets stand out as being of this kind). Following on from the video comment above there a have been some great story-based videos throughout 2008 (Sammie, Ariel and Kate in Medieval epic for example) and I think this is something I would like to see more of (I mean the same amount as in 2008 – I appreciate these are longer to shoot.

5; When first asked in the forum about half way through last year I didn’t register a strong objection to more spanking on the site (I now realize this question was the precursor to the Ariel Interview videos). If I am really honest, having seen the videos, I would probably move myself to the not all that keen on seeing all that much more camp. Perhaps worth bringing that discussion back.

6; I echo the comments of some of the others, would like to see some more damsel in distress – the perils of an RE model-type sets. I am sure that we all have tons of ideas (if you are anything like me most based on childhood memories – the perils of Penelope etc…). Tickling?

7; Outdoor shoots; I really like the idea of shooting outdoors – great photography, great scenery, beautiful model it’s all good. I think I am with Lurker though, in that I think I sometimes like the idea more than the results. Thinking about it I think it is because other than providing a more interesting background than the studio for the bondage being outdoors doesn’t really add all that much. It would be good if you could better use the fact you are shooting away from the studio. Actually being outdoors perhaps works best in your videos where very often you have the victim say walking through the woods and is then captured and taken to a scene perhaps indoors (is this making any sense?). In summary I do really like the outdoor shoots (some of the Sweden shots were fab – oh and who cold forget the Ariel Sweden set in the yellow top, blue jeans and blue rope)

8; Feet (OK it was always going to be on the list); one of the key RE selling points for me and I know for a fair few others is the barefoot bondage. I would like to see a bit more done with that. More bastinado, tickling, waxing etc. Can we see more like the Jasmine’s barefoot torture series of videos of old?

9; Having read some of the others posts, I went back and had a look at the some of the recent few months sets and there has been a lack of the ‘elegance’ costumes that I have come to associate with the site. Perhaps more long silky frocks and costumes.

Damn – I can’t think of a 10th…

Had better add the age old caveat that there is no pleasing all of the people all of the time. As I have said the overall balance of the site is just right.

These look excellent as ever – 2008 was another great year for the site and by the look of these 2009 looks like it is going to start on an equally promising note.

Have to agree with Jeff – a particular highlight in January looks as though it is going to be the five models in a field hogtie. A few new models for the new year as well I think?

Oh – it would be wrong of me not to flag up the Ariel ribbon set is coming up – yay! I am counting on all of you to give it a good rating when it comes up on the site – then Hywel will have to do it again (evil laugh)!!

Ps Has anyone else noticed that there is occasionally a slightly different finish to Lightspears shots than Hywels (ref the shot of Delta with the red background) almost the difference you used to see in prints between a gloss and a matt finish. Is there a reason for this? The pictures are otherwise great but I find the effect a little distracting.

Hello Ariel!

You see, since meeting you and Hywel I have become a reformed character. No more unexplained long absences (OK – this might also have something to do with my job encouraging us not to travel as often – credit crunch!), and a regular update on the mood and opinion of CD (I fear not too subjective of late – tending towards a default of ‘it’s all fab keep it coming!’). Of course if you are bored I could clear off for a couple of months!

Am so pleased that you and Hywel are moving on with your relationship. I wish you both all the best in the new house, and look forward to seeing shoots from the new studio once that is up and running.

I’m fantasizing about being a super hostess, and making cookies for everyone………It’ll be like having a succession of big dolls to play with – I wonder if they’ll all let me do their hair.

Ps – Will you miss London? As someone who has only recently moved out I am suprised at just how much I have (I hadn’t expected to) – though I guess Reading is not that far out.

Ooh! I initially overlooked this topic but it seems as though it has become really quite fun. Do you know, I started by thinking that I really didn’t hate anything – curiously that has changed and I am beginning to realize I am quite an angry chap;

1. Spitting. Whilst this is really unpleasant on the street I fear its social acceptability has spread from footballers (I feel I wish to single Mr Rooney out here)
2. People on public transport streaming music from mobile devices – why is it always some rubbish that I don’t know with lyrics that you really feel ought not to be played on a crowded bus with children and old people present)
3. Children pretty much aged six or below with jewelry – particularly earrings and specifically gold. Those UK-based members will be familiar with the term chav and I think gold earrings on a two year old chav-ises them from an early age. There is little chance of them going back from there.
4. Seats on public transport/aeroplanes/concerts… without enough leg room (I’m with Hywel on this – and I’m taller than him!)
5. People reclining the seat in front in economy class when you clearly haven’t got enough leg room.
6. Idiots with conviction (such that they can be talking sh*t but people believe them – particularly when they are presenting science stories on the national news)
7. Olives
8. Marmite
9. People who become famous for sitting in a house for a few weeks over the summer
10. Myself for occasionally becoming drawn to watch the desperates described in 9!

11. Growing up (CD is enjoying the last couple of weeks of his 20’s) and the expectations and responsibilities that come with it.

Worryingly I think I have only scratched the surface. I am going to lay down now in a darkened room!

They are so cheeky and chirpy and happy go lucky all of the time that you just want to smack them round their insipidly smiley faces. The one on the left (Ant) has such a big forehead that I wouldn’t be surprised if there is an alien inside it with a steering wheel controlling his every move. The cretins.

Do you feel better for getting that off your chest? I can take or leave them – though their constant winning of awards is beginning to get a litle tiresome

A chat session with you would be cool – the opportunity to chat with the models, in here and in chat sessions, to hear their take on the site and their experiences of bondage and, I guess, of real life (the bondage is all very fantasy) is one of the (many) things that sets this site apart (CD is still loving the site – still suffering terribly from post-tutorial smugness).

Let us know when the chat session is and I will be sure to be online (evenings tend to be best – say from 7pm – as my boss is not likely to be that impressed of my doing this during the day).

Just out of interest why not use the RE chatroom – the one that the RE chat sessions normally happen in. I guess when Hywel hasn’t scheduled a chat it just sits there doing nothing. You couldn’t use a webcam (I think – Hywel?) but the chat functionality will be there and would save us all having to get a yahoo messenger account. Ask Hywel.
